When we are required to keep score digitally but don't have a signal to do so then this is a flaw. When digital scoring allows us to check scores as well as keep them but this isn't capable during a MAJOR this is a flaw. When we're told to keep score by logging into the wifi and it'll drop off once we leave hole one and to just reconnect after the round to officially log scores but the app blanks later in the round and scores are no longer able to be kept, even offline, this is a flaw. Of course we used to keep score on paper and things were different but when we're required to use certain tools that aren't functional and have become the norm for the past years, this is a flaw.

The situation was not typical spotting. He was abusive to a player on my card, demanded to know his name for saying the the spotter couldn't assess courtesy strokes which he threatened. He wouldn't clear from the hole when I said we were trying to finish our hole, he said, "I don't care." As opposed to spotting, when we were looking for a disc he called out, "45 seconds and he was going to start the clock." I asked him to move from my line of sight when I was throwing my birdie putt. Even "Bill" the tall, white haired OG PDGA official came over to the hole from 18 asking what all the yelling was for and said they'd had other complaints from the previous day and day 3. I am all for giving someone the benefit of the doubt and not blowing things out of proportion but this was not one of those cases. He was out of line. He affected play. He chose to escalate during the round instead of address any issue after completing the hole. It was not professional and it was something that should be called out.

This is NOT an official answer, but I am GUESSING that any player on the fractional cusp will make it to the finals. If there are 16 players, then 40 % is 6.4 players, so I would GUSS the top 7 players, plus ties, would make the cut. This is NOT an official answer. Interesting points. Some MA55:players were discussing rotating tee times. Tee early one day, late the next and so forth. It would be nice to throw a roller through dry grass instead of gallons of dew. There could be other reasons for tee orders but it seems more balanced. No criticism intended.

I guess should be more clear are players required to show up on wed or can they just show up for t time on Thursday and get players pack on or before round somewhere. I think quite a few are not able to make check in or players meeting on Wed is that mandatory.
