Hmmm, I've never heard of that. Hopefully it'll all get worked out.

Kevin Drossel   May 30, 2023 at 2:48am

Name is always black. That's normal. You click on the EDIT or WITHDRAW below the black name.

Andrew Sweeton   May 30, 2023 at 11:38am

Tammy - I corrected the email address for your registration and resent your confirmation.

Are McPherson and NAU courses cart friendly?

Bill Block   May 22, 2023 at 3:31pm

Wouldn’t say they are cart friendly, but they’re cart possible. People use carts on the courses but there are a few places where it could be tricky (not impossible) to naviigate.

Angie Taylor   May 22, 2023 at 8:06pm

Thank you Bill! I will get my bag primed up for my caddy.

Corie Anderson   May 24, 2023 at 6:20pm

Thank you for asking! I didn't even think to ask and this certainly saves room in the van!

Kevin Drossel    May 18, 2023 at 6:34pm

Does the "verified" PDGA membership status matter for 2023? It appears to be ensuring those in age protected divisions actually qualify (are as old as they say). I notice the vast majority of players are not verified.

The other option, and we got an email about it recently, is at check-in they will ask for your ID.

Kevin Drossel   May 18, 2023 at 7:25pm

That makes sense. It is required that you prove who you are and birthday. Early or at the event.

Todd Lion   May 22, 2023 at 3:16pm

Identification must be verified prior to the start of play. We will have staff on site to check IDs during check-in, or you can upload appropriate ID at the link on this page: https://www.pdga.com/policy/identity-verification

Less Ratio of opportunities with those who want to play and are on wait list in 65’s -and-have less years to play Worlds than all other younger divisions. ^adjustment caps in 65’s

ROBERT WATSON   May 17, 2023 at 2:35pm

I don't think it works that way.

Scott Taylor   May 17, 2023 at 3:14pm

Following your logic, shouldn't any extra spots (if they exist) got to MA80 and MA70 first?

Jacquelyn Rieser   May 17, 2023 at 4:23pm

I agree extra spots should go oldest to youngest 100%

Jason "Bobo" Noble    May 15, 2023 at 7:18pm

Are they still using the Mach II targets at NAU and McPherson? Or will the targets be changed before worlds.

Bill Block   May 15, 2023 at 8:29pm

NAU baskets will be replaced with Discatchers. McPherson has and will have Mach Vs for worlds.

Brenda Wiltgen    May 10, 2023 at 3:11am

Sorry if this has already been asked, but will there be RV parking available at any of the courses for "camping" for competitors during the tournament?

if you can dry camp or boondock camp. pilot truck stop in bellemont about 10 miles west of flagstaff, also just north of flagstaff on the road to snowbowl is dispersed forest service/blm land

Alan Amos   June 5, 2023 at 3:55pm

Village Park is a new RV park just outside of Flagstaff and about 15min away from the courses.

Brenda Wiltgen   June 8, 2023 at 2:13am

Thanks!

Donald Harrison    May 8, 2023 at 11:39pm

This is for all you MA60 guys who have gotten in. I’m #1 on the wait list and am very excited to have a chance to go to this tournament. If any of you are on the fence about going I hope you will make a decision soon as I and I’m sure others are waiting to pull the trigger on making expensive arrangements to go. Thanks for your consideration.

Sam Levenberg   May 10, 2023 at 5:55pm

It would be awesome if the MA60 numbers matched those of MA55 and MA50 - 76 players instead of 52

Nick Repar    May 8, 2023 at 3:13am

Is there any consideration to starting Pool C tee times at 7:30am or even 7:10am? Sunrise is at 5:20am that time of year in Flagstaff, so it shouldn't be a major issue for getting warm-up time. Sunset is around 7:43pm but twilight isn't until after 8:10pm. If teetimes were at 7:30am then at least 12 more people could get into the tournament, 7:10 am then 20 more total, even more if tee times went to 3:30pm. It's a shame Snowbowl isn't being used or a lot more people could be playing. I'll be 68 at Worlds time and I don't think I'll get that many more opportunities to play.

Patrick Graziani   May 8, 2023 at 2:56pm

C pool will not have any additional spots added to the 160 available even if we do start tee times earlier in the day. We will continue to consider adjustments within the pool to maximize the available space, but at this time additional changes are unlikely. It is a unfortunate that Snowbowl is out ... more

Andrew Sweeton   May 8, 2023 at 4:37pm

Yes, many options have been considered, but we have already made the adjustments that were possible to get more players in. It is unlikely that we can do more. Note the C Pool is already at 160 players, and there are other considerations to worry about with a player increase like recovery time for ... more

For those of staying at little america for the complete week of worlds.
Will there be enough paarking?
Will they be handing out passes to just the guest of the resort?
How will this work?

I guess I should have worded that better. Will they be checking for those that are alowed to park or will it becoume a free for all? Just want to make sure I have a place to park when I am done with my rounds in the 55+ class..

Bill Block   May 8, 2023 at 6:49pm

There will be somebody directing people not staying at LA to the extra parking. I suspect that some people will slip through the cracks but hopefully not too many.

Eric Graff   May 8, 2023 at 7:06pm

thnx

Wayne Dockery    May 6, 2023 at 9:04am

I appreciate everyone's work and long hours to put on a major dg event. Anything you can do to make room for us wait-listed senior grandmasters to play would garner you great karma. We are closer to the end of our playing days and worlds is such a special experience. God bless.

Jacquelyn Rieser   May 6, 2023 at 11:28pm

Agreed for you 100%

Will Plein   May 7, 2023 at 12:50pm

Just a thought, I am sure much thought is going into making this an memorial event. 700am 4 710am 4 720am 4 730am 4 740am 4 750am 4 equals 24 players

Todd Lion    May 3, 2023 at 10:10pm

Due to varying demand for divisions within some pools we have made adjustments to some of the divisional registration caps on May 3. We will continue to monitor the registration moving forward and make additional divisional caps adjustments where possible within course pools in order to accommodate as many players as possible for the event.

I started out WL # 31 in MA40…. Now I’m WL#6 and am booking flights….. with 23 spots open currently for all in the tournament

Tracey McAuley   June 25, 2023 at 11:28pm

Curious when they will let us know? Day of, lol.

David Wofford   June 27, 2023 at 4:08pm

Please open at least 5 more spots in MA 65. These guys are old and may not see another tournament!

Brenda Wiltgen    May 3, 2023 at 3:18am

Sorry! I'm just really hoping to play :)

Brenda Wiltgen    May 3, 2023 at 3:17am

Could it be possible to open more spots for waitlisted women by eliminating the FA75 and FA80 fields? I think it would be pretty amazing of the TDs to grant those of us who've expressed our interest in playing by paying the same fee just to be waitlisted while entire fields go empty. Those eight spots would allow all waitlisted women to join . . . just a thought :)

Patrick Graziani   May 3, 2023 at 3:40pm

We are currently evaluating the division caps within pools to determine available spots.

Brenda Wiltgen   May 3, 2023 at 10:20pm

THANK YOU!!! :)

Don Krueger    May 1, 2023 at 3:38pm

Will open Pro spots be transferred over to am divisions within the same pool? Pool C has some spots left for FP50 and FP55 and 50+ waitlisted for MA60 and MA65?

Andrew Sweeton   May 1, 2023 at 8:49pm

We are looking at it, but note that it isn't just about the number of players within a pool, it's also the number of playing groups within the pool. So for example you can't take one player away from each of four divisions and add them to another division as that then adds an extra playing group.

Scott Elam    April 27, 2023 at 9:25pm

I'm in the field... So this question is on behalf of the wait-list folks.

Is there a deadline for a player who is signed up and already in the field in more than one division to choose which he/she will compete in? Can't physically play in both of course and wait-listed folks will need time to plan logistics too.

Andrew Sweeton   April 28, 2023 at 11:28am

Scott - currently there is not a deadline, but we will keep pushing him to make a decision ASAP. Next year we will add a deadline for such a situation written into the Worlds registration schedules.

Anybody know how the Uber/Taxi scene is in Flagstaff? Wondering how difficult it’ll be to grab a ride from time to time.
Also, any chance the PDGA provides shuttles from the hotel to the courses (long shot I know lol)

Greg James   April 25, 2023 at 5:08pm

Good question . Curious also.

Bill Block   April 25, 2023 at 11:55pm

I've never used either before but we do have Uber/Lyft. We also have taxi services but I've only used them from the airport to home. We've been in discussions with Mountain Line, local mass transit, about running special routes from the host hotel to courses but current staffing shortages is making that difficult.

Jon Dominguez    April 24, 2023 at 9:19pm

When do we know if we’re in? # 1 on the wait list. Thank you for a great tournament !!! ????????

Chris Dierkens   April 24, 2023 at 9:40pm

When someone drops the TD will process the waitlist and the next in will get an email letting them know they’re in.

Eugene Fackler    April 23, 2023 at 9:49pm

Is there some way to see how many from a particar state got invites or how.many are actually signed up from a state like Oregon?
