Show up & GLOW up!

Immediately following Monday’s mandatory player meeting we will be offering Glow Golf! Brought to you by Disc in the Dark, we will have a modified exhibition layout of the Little America Crew Course beginning at hole 1 available to open play at night fall.

Come say hi to our friend Niel from Disc in the Dark who’s made the long trip out from Alabama to be with us! Niel has best in class Glow Disc Golf accessories. Keep an eye out for illuminated baskets throughout the week, and check out Disc in the Dark at the Fly Mart!

How can player number go from 500 to 501 if registration has closed??

Andrew Sweeton   July 5, 2023 at 10:06pm

It went from 500 to 501 because we had a player added because they reached out with a registration error problem prior to registration closing (for an available spot) but we were all working on the recovery of Amateur/Jr and didn't get back to them until well after registration was already closed, so it was not their fault. We took the payment manually and added them earlier today.

Matt Bailey   July 5, 2023 at 11:11pm

Thank you.

John McCarty   July 9, 2023 at 7:07pm

499 now bro sorry

Wesley Steer    July 5, 2023 at 4:58pm

When will the Little America courses be completed and open for practice rounds?

Scott Hougland   July 5, 2023 at 5:11pm

its open now and completed

Craig Clingan   July 6, 2023 at 12:24am

Wes, were you there today? We hit Flagstaff tomorrow evening.

Don Krueger    July 5, 2023 at 12:34am

I hope TD's and spotters are all being made aware of symptoms and corrective measures for altitude sickness. In my younger days of Ski patrol work in CO we would routinely see a buss load of skiers come in from Kansas City (900 feet about sea level) and every time 5 or 6 out of 50 would be incapacitated with extreme headaches and fatigue. Couple that with some recent poor air quality reports and there could be some issues for players and volunteers. If your traveling in from lower elevations try to arrive a couple of days early to make a more gradual transition.

Mid day Hawaiian time would be great. ????

Andrew Sweeton   July 5, 2023 at 8:04pm

Most likely by Noon-1pm Eastern, sorry.

Matt Bailey   July 5, 2023 at 11:56pm

No worries. I should’ve signed up on time in the first place. Thanks for all the work

Matthew Harding    July 4, 2023 at 10:31pm

When will day one tee times be posted? I am traveling with my family and planning the first day will be difficult without knowing tee times.

Rodney Travis   July 5, 2023 at 12:57am

They posted somewhere below that tee times will be set AFTER player check-in. So I'm assuming it won't be until Monday at the earliest.

Andrew Sweeton   July 5, 2023 at 2:12am

Right, they will be posted once check-in concludes.

Don Krueger    July 4, 2023 at 8:31pm

don't wait to withdrawal. time is running out:

By July 6 - All official withdrawals from the registered list prior to July 7 will receive a full refund ONLY if their spot is
back-filled from the waitlist at the time of withdrawal. If not backfilled from the waitlist, they will receive a 0% refund.
After July 6 - Withdrawals after July 6 will not receive a refund of any kind. Thank you for your support of Masters
Worlds.

I may be posting this only for selfish reasons (#1 on the MA65 waitlist) but it still may be helpful for someone.

WL#1 MA 40 here…. Thank you for the message!

Tracey McAuley   July 4, 2023 at 10:30pm

Since the cap change to 500, I’ll assume refund would change in the dates posted?

Eric Graff    July 4, 2023 at 8:13am

Will there be any warm up area's (MP and NAU) prior to t times.

Patrick Graziani   July 4, 2023 at 4:19pm

Yes there are warm up areas. Be on the look out for a pre-event player email with this information included.

Eric Graff   July 4, 2023 at 8:24pm

10-4 thnx

Todd Lion    July 4, 2023 at 1:45am

Following the close of registration, we have made the final minor adjustments to field sizes as of July 3. No further division cap changes will be made. All movement from this point forward will only come from existing waitlists.

See the Worlds registration schedules here: https://www.pdga.com/2023worlds/2023-worlds-registration-schedules, once the waitlists are refunded the event is closed, there are no further replacements of drops.

Caton Arnold   July 9, 2023 at 4:25pm

5 months on the wait list to see 151 out of 152 makes me sick.

Matt Bailey   July 10, 2023 at 2:31pm

Couldn’t agree more. Disappointed to say the least.

Bryan Gibbs    July 4, 2023 at 12:47am

Will there be an app like there was at the Am and Jr Worlds that was in Peoria last week?

The pdga scoring app allows for real time comms to players

John Birkrem   July 5, 2023 at 12:28pm

all players should ensure the PDGA has their current mobile phone number with messaging options on so they can contact you if needed.

Phil Shane   July 5, 2023 at 11:44pm

Be like Nate.

Emilio Condis    July 3, 2023 at 10:39pm

Good afternoon disc golfers. Please, if you are not going to be able to attend the event, please withdraw online ASAP. Us waitlisters would love to get in. I foolishly forgot to register on ny invite date and I am on the wait list and on my way to Flagstaff from Miami Florida. As much as I would like to explore Flagstaff, I want to play in the tournament. Help us waitlisters out and withdraw. Thanks

I have to agree. If you haven’t booked your plans etc drop out now so anyone who has at least has a better chance.

Billy Bauer    July 3, 2023 at 9:24pm

Is it still possible to get in the field events?

Andrew Sweeton   July 4, 2023 at 1:27am

Sorry but no, registration is closed.

Dale E Baynes    July 3, 2023 at 8:47pm

Identity verification is a requirement for participation in this event and will be performed during player check-in but you may optionally upload an image of an acceptable form of identification at any time at https://www.pdga.com/policy/identity-verification/upload

For more information on the PDGA Identity Verification program, please go to https://www.pdga.com/policy/identity-verification

Bethel Barrett   July 6, 2023 at 3:44am

Identity identification seems to be an afterthought added requirement post registration . Although I do understand slightly what you are doing, I will not be giving you such information electronically to be stored on ‘who knows’ system with unknown security. You can view my information real time at checkin and check whatever box you need to consider me ‘verified’.

Steve Ganz   July 7, 2023 at 6:45pm

The PDGA Identity Verification Program was launched on March 6, 2023 in advance of this year's first PDGA Major Event in April. Online identity verification is entirely optional. All uploaded images are encrypted and stored securely and will only be used for identity verification. Once the member's identity has been verified, the image is deleted from our servers.

John Scheinpflug    July 3, 2023 at 6:29pm

Since registration has closed, I see that MA 65 has added 4 spots from 32 players to 36 players. MA 60 only has 52 players with more on the waitlist than any other division. I hope you add more players to these two divisions since MA 40 has 172, MA 50 and 55 have 76.

Andrew Sweeton   July 4, 2023 at 1:25am

Sorry, but we have added what we could, anything else will be due to drops. The four spots we could open in the C pool went to MA65 since they started with 20 less spots than MA60 and a waitlist nearly as long.

Matthias Lambur    July 3, 2023 at 2:34pm

Hello, is there a possibility (sports field or larger area) in Flagstaff to test discs? I come from Germany and have never played at an altitude of 2,200 meters.
Thank you very much.

Bill Block   July 3, 2023 at 5:53pm

There are sports field throughout Flagstaff and they're free to use provided they're not reserved for a another use. Foxglenn park, NAU south fields (near the course), Thorpe Park Multipurpose are some possible parks that have space to throw.

Matthias Lambur   July 4, 2023 at 1:45am

Thank you

Clark Lipkin    July 3, 2023 at 2:00pm

Can anyone tell me what will be in the player’s pack? I’m flying in and don’t want to bring an umbrella or anything else that I don’t have to.

I read umbrella was in. Maybe that's ledgestone or USWDGC..ugh rain coat it is. I'm also flying.

Wesley Hunt   July 4, 2023 at 4:19am

It’s probably better for many. I know a lot of people in Peoria last year had to abandon their umbrella and didn’t feel great about getting items that wouldn’t fit in bags for flights.

Scott Hougland   July 5, 2023 at 2:00am

It’s not gonna rain, I’ve been here for 2 weeks and it hasn’t rained once

Donald Harrison    July 2, 2023 at 6:27pm

I know doubles are already full, but if anyone is in need of a partner for any reason I’d be interested in playing.

Where would one find the rules for the field events on Sunday? It would be nice to know how many putters, etc, are necessary.

Andrew Sweeton   July 4, 2023 at 1:53am

I've asked the team about posting this on the Worlds info page.

Don Krueger    July 2, 2023 at 2:55pm

Can MP65 and MP70 be moved from pool C to Pool F to open up MA60 and MA65 spots?

Andrew Sweeton   July 4, 2023 at 1:54am

No, sorry, no room to do that.
