Best Throw Team Doubles Explained

Team X consists of players A, B, C and D.
Round 1 & 3 - Teams decide how players will be paired. The team decides A/C and B/D (these pairings can change between rounds but not during).
Pair A/C will tee first on hole one. Both A and C will take tee shots. The team decides which shot they would like to play from. Both B and D will play from that lie. The team will decide which shot they would like to play from. Both A and C will play from that lie. This alternating play continues until the hole is complete.
If A/C tee off on hole one, they will tee first on all odd holes (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17)
B/D will then tee off on all even holes (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18).

Best Throw Doubles Explained

Team X consists of players A, B, C and D. Player A is the highest rated followed by B, then C, then D.
Round 2 - The two higher-rated players (A & B) will be paired together for captain's choice doubles. The two lower-rated players (C&D) will be paired together for captain's choice doubles.
In captain's choice doubles both players tee off. The two players then choose which of the two positions to play from for the next throw. Both players throw from the resulting lie and the two again choose which of the two positions to play from. This continues until the hole is complete.
