After speaking to Mark Thompson, the course is a little sloppy on holes 2 and 4, other areas look good. There are crews working now on the limbs, trash and other issues. Mowing is a possibility but now guarantied. We are 70% chance having the event Saturday.

My only issue, I may not be able to do my lines and flags for my OB. you may get off a littler easier this year.

Final decision will be announced by 12-12:30pm tomorrow.

I am already signed up for both events, so just let me know what happens. I want a refund if we cancel. I will play if event is moved, but I may need to cancel my hotel also for Saturday night if you move either event, so please make a decision soon.

Be aware... Klein is being rescheduled.. but Lumberton is a go!

Roy Moore    June 12, 2023 at 5:51pm

Mr. Richards, thank you. Ok, if Lumberton is unplayable Saturday can we cancel it and issue full refunds and move the Klein Tournament up a day to Saturday?

Our drainage system in Southeast Texas is the best. While the amount of rain was significant, it was not unusual. With no rain in the forecast, the holes under water should be drained in a day or two and there is a good probability the course will be playable by Saturday.

If water is the issue we are fixing to have full sunshine with 95-100 degree temperatures leading up to the Saturday tournament day. I’d rather we play Lumberton Saturday as I’m already signed up for Klein Sunday. You say “effects of the storm may have had” is it not known? I seen a post about the water on holes like 12-15. As TD have you been out to assess things?

I was there yesterday. Only only hole 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are playable. The others are underwater. Hole 10 has a tree laying across the fairway. Holes 12, 13 and 14 are completely under water. It will take a miracle for all of that tot drain in less than a week.

I love 3 hours away and rely on local clubs to assist. The course is going to have a walk through today with a discussion on the potential issues and remedies. I personally would love to have the Lumberton event on Saturday. I am leaving the country that Sunday for work.

Jeremy Richards    June 12, 2023 at 1:59pm

I want to first apologize for the delay in information, for those that know me... this irks me to the bone.

Reading all the changes and the effects the storm may have had, we will need to review a few things. I am in talks with NADGT due to the fact I am leaving the country this Sunday morning.

Here is a poll I wish for each to provide...

Option 1: Move the Saturday event to Klein and not run Sunday at either course (All refunds will be 100%). This provides the families with Fathers d ... more

Concerning Kent Bray's comment; I don't mind dropping down to MA50 if no other MA60 players sign up, but we should probably wait a few days to see if that does or doesn't happen.

I am planning on signing up for MA60. I am not interested in playing MA50.

Jeremy Richards   June 14, 2023 at 2:31pm

Bob Koch is also playing MA60..

Mark Merian    June 11, 2023 at 1:49pm

The course will need a lot of work due to the storm last night. Hole 12 -15 are underwater.

Talking with Ben now...

Kent Bray    June 10, 2023 at 11:20pm

If we don't get anymore MA60, I'm be fine with dropping to MA50 if Nick is. Can you guys run that by him?
