2023 Maple City Ice Bowl
About this tournament
2023 Maple City Ice Bowl is an official ICE BOWL NO WIMPS - NO WHINERS fundraiser for The Window Food Pantry in Goshen.
This is a PDGA sanctioned XC-Tier doubles tournament. Teams will play two rounds of 24 holes at Ox Bow County Park disc golf sanctuary in Goshen, Indiana.
The Maple City Ice Bowl is an approved PDGA Competition Endowment Program charity event. This year's goal is $22,000. Contact the TD to learn more about making a tax-deductible contribution or sponsoring the event.
Be sure to stay for the raffle at the end of the tournament. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes will be up for grabs. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event.
We will be using PDGA live scoring for this event. Each group will also have a paper scorecard as a backup to the digital application.

FORMAT
Two rounds of Best Shot. 48 holes. All teams will be playing from short tees on holes 4, 8, 12 and 13.
PAYOUTS
Gold Division (Pros) - Cash payout minus CEP requirements that the PDGA fee plus a minimum of 25% of purse be donated to The Window Food Bank. Trophy for first place. Ams playing pro must declare before start of event their intention to accept or decline cash. Pros playing as amateurs may do so in the appropriate division.
Amateur Divisions - This is a trophy only event and fundraiser for The Window Food Pantry in Goshen with awards to the Top 3 in each division.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
There are only 96 spots (48 teams) available for this event. We will be using ratings-based divisions which will allow for teams to be comprised of players from different age, gender, and rated divisions so long as the team competes in a division that is appropriate for the highest rated player. Contact the TD with questions.
Players may registered for a division even if the event is full and will be put on the waitlist to fill available spots as they open. Check back periodically for updates in the event comments section. No walk-ups. No cashless registration.
RATINGS
This will be run as a ratings-based event. Both team members must play in a division applicable to their current PDGA rating. You may play "up" but you may not play "down" a division. Player rating classifications will be strictly enforced. You will be moved to the appropriate division should your December rating affect your division registration at the time. Refund policy
Maple City Disc Golfers is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee).
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% cash refund.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD will provide a 25% cash refund.
Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack.
