2023 MCDG Bag Tag Series Championship
About this tournament
The 2023 MCDG Bag Tag Series is coming to a close, and it's time to crown this year's champions!
Join us once again at Shelby Golf Course for an epic day of disc golf with golf carts, tee-times, and intro music on an amazing 18-hole temp course designed by Mike McDaniel!
This is the last year we can use the Shelby Golf Course temp course. After this event there will be major renovations, and we will no longer be able to use it for disc golf.
Event is pre-registration only due to tee times.
Am Entry: $53
Pro Entry: $58
(Entry fees for the Championship are adjusted to include cart and greens fees and had to be increased this year due to increased fees from the golf course.)
Divisions will tee in the following order:
Ladies
Juniors
MA4
MA3
MA2
MA60
MA50
MA40
MA1
MP50
MP40
MPO
Players will be grouped based on Bagtag Series points.
Cart rules:
-Only two people to a cart
-Must obey cart rules from golf course clubhouse
-No hanging on or riding on back of carts
If anyone fails to follow cart rules, you will be disqualified with no refund.
To register, you must use same email address that was used to sign up for 2023 Bag Tag membership.
Shelby Golf Course is located at 2021 Fatherland Street in Nashville. Food and beverages will be available in the clubhouse all weekend.
The course will be available for practice rounds on Saturday 11/11. Sign ups for practice rounds are MANDATORY and can be made at http://dgscene.com/MCDGChampPractice2023
Tee times for the Championship will be posted on Saturday 11/11 and will begin at 8:30am on Sunday, and as always, points are DOUBLED for the Series Finale! Tee times subject to change to later in the day if there is a frost delay.
The final opportunity to vote for the 2024 Board of Directors election will be cast at this event. Club members who have not already submitted their votes online will be given a ballot at check-in and will be able to choose from the available candidates.
Bag Tag Championship Qualifications:
Must have played in at least 4 bag tag events during the season
-Event capacity is 100 competitors
-Early access registration will be available to those competitors that have played in 4 bag tag events AND are part of the following groups:
---Top 4 competitors in each division
---Current member of MCDG Board of Directors
---MCDG lifetime members
---Season Pass Holders for Current Bag Tag Year
-Early access registration will be open for two weeks prior to general registration
-One week prior to close of registration, registration will open to all MCDG members for any remaining spots.
Waitlist will be used.
Full refunds given to those on the waitlist who do not get into the event.
