2023 Doomsday Demolition - Fort Wayne (4-disc)

Doomsday Discs is a disc golf brand that was created with your survival in mind. Make no mistake, when the end of modern society comes, there’s nothing we can do to help you. But you can help yourself by throwing excellent discs while civilization still stands, and by building a stockpile of premium plastic for the apocalypse. When there’s nothing left to do but pass the time scavenging for food and throwing discs through incredible dystopian landscapes, you’ll be glad that you have prepared with a great collection of top-quality discs. Don’t fall behind in the race to acquire provisions. This second annual hoarding of necessities begins on October 22, 2023 at Shoaff Park.

As we are another year closer to the inevitable apocalypse, the need to splurge on sundries has never been higher. That's why the 2023 Doomsday Demolition will be a FOUR-disc flex start challenge. Your player’s pack will include everything you need to survive the end of times. You will be provided a Cataclysm Distance Driver (11 / 5 / -1 / 2), Blackout Fairway Driver (8 / 5 / -2 / 1), Flat Earth Mid-Range (5 / 5 / -1 / 0), and a Bleak Putter (2 / 4 / -1 / 1) upon check-in (all four are PDGA approved). Your survival skills will be tested using ONLY these tools.

The competition for survival will commence over a single round from the red tees at Shoaff Park, for one 24-hole round to prove your worth to your peers in the impending post-apocalyptic society. Doomsday prize packs will be provided to the winners of each division, and depending on the fruits of our scavenging, prizes may be in store for additional placements. An ace pot will be available for a $3 contribution (the pot will be rationed equally among all those fortunate enough to have this level of mastery of their tools), because what good is hoarding your cold hard cash in the cold hard reality of a nuclear holocaust? Further, a 50/50 CTP for a $2 buy-in will be available as last-ditch effort to prove your survival skills. We will also have numerous CTPs for discs and/or other swag. Details will be provided at check-in. Please check back, as we may add additional information as we near the tournament.

While Armageddon may be lawless, there must be some rules in place to prevent society from descending into chaos prematurely. As such, please note the below:

Scores can be kept on paper or UDisc during your round, but please turn in your final scores on paper (paper scorecards will be provided), after ensuring all card mates are in agreement prior to turning it in. We will play with sign OB, and if a mando is violated on 5, 6, or 13, the player will re-tee with a stroke penalty. Standard tee sign OB will be used.
