About this tournament

This will be the 41st annual Discraft Great Lakes Open. The tournament will take place at the Black Locust courses at Kensington Metropark, Independence Lake and both courses at Hudson Mills. All AM players will play three rounds over three days of competition. All divisions will play a different course each day with tee times. All players will receive a $300 player pack. Top AM players will also receive payout vouchers to be used at the Ledgestone Shop.

AM Note: AM players playing the A Tier event will have the ability to purchase a discounted pass to spectate at Toboggan as part of their player's pack.

Hudson Mills, Independence Lake and Kensington Metroparks do require a pass to enter the parks. No additional fees will need to be paid by the players (such as the $3 disc golf fee at Hudson Mills) as those fees are being covered by the event. Annual passes can be purchased at each of these three parks.

Toboggan Note: The Toboggan Course will be open for public play on the following dates: 6/12/23 to 7/31/23 and 9/25/23 to 10/20/23

Refund policy

Ledgestone is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

1) The only way to withdraw from the event is by going into your original confirmation email from Disc Golf Scene and requesting a withdraw through Disc Golf Scene. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official for the purposes of withdrawing. Making a comment on the DGS forum section that you need to withdraw does not constitute an official note. If you cannot find your original Disc Golf Scene email, the tournament director’s email is [email redacted]

2) Players who officially request to withdraw from the event prior to (or on) July 21st, 2023 will receive a 100% cash refund, minus a $10 fee.

3) Players who officially request to withdraw from the event between July 22nd and August 5th, 2023 will receive a 100% cash refund minus a $10 fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled from the waitlist. If the player's spot is NOT filled, we will provide a 50% cash refund.

4) Players who officially request to withdraw from the event between August 6th and August 13th, 2023 will receive a 100% cash refund minus a $10 fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist. If the player's spot is NOT filled, we will provide a 25% cash refund.

5) Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from playing in the event, do not show up for the event, or try to withdraw after August 13th, 2023 (which is our drop date) forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or players pack. Tee times and divisions are set using the registration list as of this date, so there are no exceptions to this rule.
