2023 Disc Baron Series Event

The 2023 Huck, Heave and Chuck Open will be held on Saturday, July 15th at the North Rotary DGC (Grand Isle) in Belmont, Mi. The tournament will include 2 rounds of 18 holes of play.

Registration:
1) Paid registration online before the event (DAY OF REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE)
2) Paid registration in store @ Disc Baron before the event
Waitlist:
If a waitlist is needed, players must pay in full and register online before the end of registration. The 72 field is a hard number and we will not add additional players above this amount. If you are refunded because you were on the waitlist, your full refund will be processed and a $10 Refund Processing Fee will not be charged.
Player's Meeting:
Players meeting will be sent via email the night before the event. This will outline any rules and out of bounds. There is no player's meeting the day of the event. Please check in and collect your players pack before the tee off of the 1st round.
Format:
2 rounds of 18 holes singles
Tee Pads:
Most divisions will play the standard tee pads. Holes 2, 5, 8, 14 and 18 will have short tee pads for MJ/FJ divisions. Teeing off from either side of the tee pad it optional, up to 1 meter from the rubber tee pad.

All Water is Considered Out of Bounds

Divisions:
I can add any division by requested if it is not listed. There must be at least 3 participants to make a division. You can register for any division but if that division does not have enough participants to qualify, you will need to move to a qualifying division prior to play and additional fees may be required or refunded if the registration fees differ. Womens and Juniors divisions do not need to meet the minimum
Prizes:
There will be prizes on several holes, including 2nd Closest Shot, CTPs and LPs. You must be present to win your CTP/LP prize. CTP/LP Prizes Retail Value Will Exceed $1000 Retail Value.
Raffle:
Every participant will receive 1 FREE RAFFLE TICKET with their paid entry. There will also be additional tickets available for sale, as well as several different prizes.
Payouts:
Payouts will be provided using the standard PDGA payout scale. Amateur payouts will be provided by Disc Baron in the form of coupons to Disc Baron store that can be redeemed in store or online at www.discbaron.com. Coupons will be distributed via email after the event is complete. Payouts will not be available onsite. Winners will have 6 Months once coupons are issued to redeem. Coupons must be used in one transaction and no change will be provided.
Lunch:
Lunch will run 1 hour after the last card is turned in.
Refunds:
Refund requests will be assessed a $10 Refund Processing Fee. Refunds will be handled and processed in accordance with PDGA event standards.

PDGA REFUND POLICY IS IN EFFECT:
1.03 Withdrawals and Refunds

A Players MUST email or phone their withdrawals to the Tournament Director only at the contact information posted for the tournament. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official.
B Players who have paid MORE than a nominal waitlist fee of $10 to be on an event’s waitlist who do not get into the event, or who officially request to withdraw from the waitlist prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended), will receive a 100% cash refund minus the $10 waitlist fee. Waitlist players who ONLY paid a nominal non-refundable waitlist fee of $10 monetary refund of that waitlist fee (minus up to a $10 handling fee). Waitlist players who ONLY paid a nominal non-refundable waitlist fee of $10 or less will not receive a refund.
C Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund monetary refund of their entry fee (minus up to a $10 handling fee).
D Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered) by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% cash monetary refund of their entry fee OR just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 50% cash monetary refund.
E Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% cash monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered) by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash monetary refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% cash monetary refund.
F Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack. This does NOT apply to a waitlist player; 1.03.B.
G Tournament Directors for Major, Elite Series, and A-Tier events may petition the PDGA Director of Event Support to change the timeline for items C, D, and E.
H If granted, the policy must be clearly published with all registration materials.
I If a TD vacates an offered division due to a lack of registered players for the division (see 2.01.L), any player for that division that does not wish to move to a different division that they are eligible for, will be provided a full refund.
J If a Tournament Director cancels an event, all currently registered or waitlisted players must receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry or waitlist fee. Only in the case of a disaster beyond the control of the TD that prevents the event from taking place by making the venue(s) unavailable, and only with prior approval from the PDGA Director of Event Support, may a TD provide players registered for Amateur divisions with a player pack and a partial monetary refund in the amount of the difference between the retail value of the player pack and the amount of the entry fee.
K If a Tournament Director postpones an event, all players currently registered or waitlisted for the original date at the time of postponement must receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry or waitlist fee if they request it. Only in the case of a disaster beyond the control of the TD that prevents the event from taking place by making the venue(s) unavailable, and only with prior approval from the PDGA Director of Event Support, may a TD provide players registered for Amateur divisions with a player pack and a partial monetary refund in the amount of the difference between the retail value of the player pack and the amount of the entry fee. Once a new date is announced, all prior registrants who are still registered or waitlisted must be notified by email and given a reasonable opportunity to receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry or waitlist fee if they determine they are unable to attend the event on its new date.
