2022 Sierra Vista Veterans for Vets
About this tournament
This will be a bring your own partner best shot doubles event. Anyone who does not have a partner will be assigned one.
There are three divisions for this event:
Advanced, intermediate, and US Military Veteran. When choosing your division, please select the division of your highest skilled player. Only one player on a team must be a veteran or active duty to play in the veteran division. The top 3 teams of each division will receive trophy minis.
We will be playing the main layout with the island on hole 12, rope mando on 15 and all OB marked with orange flags.
Instead of assigning tee times as we did last year, this year players will get to choose their own tee time when they register. It is first come first serve. If necessary due to high registration count, we will create later tee times.
This event will use UDisc live scoring. If you do not have the UDisc app, please download it the week of the event. We will have paper scorecards for back up but UDisc speeds up the awards process greatly.
On the day of the event, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your tee time. You will receive your player pack at check in and we will make sure somebody in each group is able to use UDisc.
We will have CTP trophy discs for holes TBD and an ace pot with a $5 buy in.
Time of awards will be determined after registration closes.
Following in the footsteps of the Trilogy Challenge, Veterans for Vets is a new event designed to meet three goals. First, it gives disc golfers a chance to play in an organized event during the winter months. Second, it provides an awesome environment for a disc golfer without any tournament experience to play in an organized event. Finally, it provides an opportunity for a local disc golf community to raise money that gets returned to that same community to organizations tasked with serving veterans!
