From my understanding, state point leaders as of 9/6/22 will receive an invite. I believe I will get an invite but curious if anyone knows when they will be sent out?

I am currently compiling the states I can as I wait for this last weekends points to be entered. Once they are fully in (expected by Friday) I will gather the rest and send invitations. This is a very manual process but I anticipate I will have them completed and emailed out by next Wednesday if not sooner.

Sweet! I can't wait!

Jay Maas   September 7, 2022 at 6:36pm

way to go Kyle, you guys are the best!

Ron Lincoln    September 6, 2022 at 12:54am

I just watched the PDGA WORLDS and saw so many pros not wearing collared shirts. Are you telling me that this tournament is really going to make this a point of contention? Sure, don't look sloppy, but a nice non-collared dri-fit should be acceptable. I need to know what the TD(s) have to say about this. Don't simply reference the rule book. State it plainly. Thanks, can't wait to participate, really looking forward to it.

I did look at the rule, and it seemed vague to me. That is why I'm looking for confirmation.

Kyle Harrigan   September 6, 2022 at 1:32am

To sum it up, no tee shirts, no tank tops, this is a high level competition, competitors are expected to look the part. More direct information will come as the event gets closer so stressing about this particular topic two months out is not needed. Comparing any event to pro worlds is unnecessary, this is not a PDGA run major. C

Ron Lincoln   September 6, 2022 at 1:35am

Thanks Kyle. Looking forward to your event.

Drew Wendling    September 5, 2022 at 10:09pm

I received a free entry in the tournament but won’t be able to play in it. Would I be able to get the entry refunded? If not would I be able to collect the players pack without playing?

Try replying to the email, you’ll get a more direct answer.

Drew Wendling   September 9, 2022 at 3:24am

I didn’t get a response

Kyle Harrigan   September 9, 2022 at 2:28pm

Yes you did, sent at 1:27 yesterday and you responded back to it

I registered for this event in hopes I would be able to play, but I will not be able to. Can I keep my spot and pay shipping for my players pack or do I need to just drop this tournament? I would love to still be able to have something just showing I qualified basically.

Kyle Harrigan   September 2, 2022 at 4:25pm

I will be in touch. Not sure what we have for that yet.

Thomas Gay   September 5, 2022 at 3:24am

Okay. Thank you

Dr Coach Green    September 2, 2022 at 2:56am

I see where the course assignments are posted on the about section of DGScene but don’t see anywhere the order we play them or which one is played twice.

Kyle Harrigan   September 2, 2022 at 2:57am

That information has not been made available at this time. To the best of my knowledge it is still being finalized.

Tyler Houck    September 1, 2022 at 3:09pm

For the players welcome and party dinner will there be options if I bring a caddy to pay for dinner there?

Kyle Harrigan   September 1, 2022 at 3:33pm

Yes

As information is given, we work to get it out to the people. The Main three rounds are going to be played at those two courses listed for MP40, I do not know what order or which one will be played twice. Once I have that information I will make sure it is publicly put out.

Curtis Van Slyke   September 13, 2022 at 8:02pm

Are these two courses cart friendly? Or is I it better to carry a bag?

Ramsey Ross   September 14, 2022 at 11:01pm

Comment above says they are very cart friendly. flyovers available on you tube.

Trisha Allen    August 30, 2022 at 11:03am

Same here

Kyle miller    August 29, 2022 at 12:45am

Kind of trivial at this point, but curious. Is there any media coverage planned for the event/finals? I expect a lot of details are still in the works, definitely a nice touch in the past having the post produced/ round recaps

Kyle Harrigan   August 29, 2022 at 12:48am

I can not speak to any specifics at this time as they are still being finalized but there will likely be coverage of some kind at the event, not positive if it will be live or only post production at this time.

Michael Andrews    August 28, 2022 at 9:25pm

MP40 is only playing 2 courses?? If not what would be the third course for that division?

Jeffrey Dao    August 26, 2022 at 12:29pm

Do you know the approximate time MA2 will be finished on Saturday? Just checking to see what time I should book my flight home for a wedding

Kyle Harrigan   August 26, 2022 at 1:27pm

Not 100% certain by any means but last year we wrapped up with finals and awards around 5:30pm or so. I would say when all is said and done it will be similar but things can change

Derek sperry    August 26, 2022 at 12:08am

So if I win an MA1 invitation it would be to sign up for MPO which I get, but does that mean I would also need to change my status from amateur to professional through the pdga before signing up and to be eligible to play?

Kyle Harrigan   August 26, 2022 at 12:23am

Correct about the invitation and no you do not have to change your status to play. If and when you decide to accept cash is when your status is changed.

Derek sperry   August 27, 2022 at 12:14am

Okay thank you for the info!

Steve Harmeyer    August 25, 2022 at 2:38pm

With flying becoming more of a pain now, what happens if we miss the players meeting on Tuesday night due to flight delays but get there the next day before the tee time?

Along this same line of not getting into town until Tuesday, not having enough time to play the courses, will there be any youtube videos of course walk through made available?

Jim Nesbitt   August 26, 2022 at 4:44pm

It seems all the courses have flyovers if you search them in youtube.

Ron Lincoln   August 26, 2022 at 7:56pm

Thanks Jim

Rob Weideman    August 24, 2022 at 9:47pm

Would like to request Asher Weideman move to MPO from MJ15. Thanks.

Has he earned an invite from and qualifying MA1 event?

Kyle Harrigan   August 25, 2022 at 2:18am

I moved him. He qualified at the Washington Premier in July

Rob Weideman   August 25, 2022 at 3:44am

Thanks!

I'm struggling with work to get the time off. Because of my job requirements I won't know if I can attend until the day of the event. If I do register and am unable to attend how does that work. Do I get a straight refund or do I just get my players pack mailed to me, this is completely unknown territory for me

Kyle Harrigan   August 25, 2022 at 2:28pm

That close to the event it would be a shipped player pack. Just notify us directly

Kevin Talgoy    August 24, 2022 at 4:45pm

I was wondering about the payouts when declining Cash to retain Amateur status.

The tournament 'About' section states "Competitors who decline the cash prize are awarded merchandise equal to 75% of the prize value via NADGT.com or at TD discretion."

However, the NADGT Tour Handbook from the website states "Competitors who decline the cash prize are awarded merchandise equal to 100% of the prize value via NADGT.com or at Pro Shop"

Which information is correct?

Kyle Harrigan   August 24, 2022 at 6:00pm

The website is correct.

Kevin Talgoy   August 24, 2022 at 7:23pm

Thank you kindly for the prompt reply

Ian Yelton    August 24, 2022 at 2:21pm

Just out of curiosity, but is there a reason why Roy G is not being used?

Kyle Harrigan   August 24, 2022 at 2:37pm

The homeless camps, it makes multiple holes unplayable, as well as the bridge issue. Trust me it made us sad that we had to come to this decision with the city.

Jay Maas   September 7, 2022 at 3:50am

so sad. Roy G was so sick last year.
