Do the courses for FPO have long and short layouts? If so, which layout will we play?

Are the Semifinals and Final 9 rounds both on Saturday? Unable to find full clarification on that. Thanks.

do we know the percentage of the field for the final day cut? or is it just a top 4 per division

Kyle Harrigan   August 22, 2022 at 8:08pm

That has not be announced or provided to me by the Championships team. The final 9s are just the top 4, but I have not been provided further information

Kyle miller   August 22, 2022 at 9:43pm

ok thank you for the update!

Last year there were 3 rounds, a semi-final round and the final 9. The email shows B Pool Divisions: FPO / MP40 / MP50 playing Northtown and Williamson County. Will we be playing them multiple times or are there less rounds this year?

Curtis Van Slyke   August 19, 2022 at 10:50pm

I have not received the email. Could you please resend to me?

Asher Cook   August 23, 2022 at 1:29pm

Could you please resend email? I just signed up. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. We have had a lack of events in Hawaii. Hopefully more next year.

Kevin King   August 18, 2022 at 1:22am

We would love to have more events in Hawaii. If you'd be up to hosting an event or two, get in touch with Kyle and we can make it happen for 2023.

Moses Paskowitz   August 19, 2022 at 12:02am

Sounds good. My friend Alan Koons , and other people are great TD's . I will put them in touch.

Steve Harmeyer    August 16, 2022 at 4:21pm

Will there be food at the Friday players party included? If so, would a guest have to pay a fee to come with me?

Jeremy Richards   August 16, 2022 at 8:36pm

Yes there will be food at the players party. Any non-players will be required to "buy" their food.

Michael Tran    August 16, 2022 at 1:35am

Any Facebook groups of some sort to see if people would like to get an airbnb together to save some money?

Jasmine Manangan   August 24, 2022 at 7:42pm

Ooh, Please feel free to it include me in this information lol.

Kyle miller    August 16, 2022 at 1:22am

Given how close the event is should those of us out coming from out of town hold off for hotel information? Or would we be better off just securing something soon. I would love preferred lodging info or anything with a discount, but the date is sneaking up on us

Email has been sent out to players with lodging information.

Ron Lincoln   August 17, 2022 at 3:40am

But I haven't registered yet, can I still have access to this info?

Kyle Maute   August 17, 2022 at 1:44pm

Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Central is the Host Hotel and will also house the Pro Shop.

You can also watch round 2 of the Lone Star Classic from 2021 if you want to see some pros play Swordstone. Just search the tournament on YouTube as well.

Roby 1 Kinobi Breger   August 16, 2022 at 2:38am

Thank you!

Ryan Wagner   August 22, 2022 at 7:05pm

I play swordstone with a backpack and FA with a zuca compact. I haven't played OSP in a while

Gabe moore    August 13, 2022 at 2:26am

Blake Morgan    August 12, 2022 at 3:26am

Mp50. Are we required to wear a collared shirt? Just want to be prepared if so. Thanks.

MPO player here from out of state - visiting Austin for the first time! Are there any resources for housing and transportation to and from the courses? I see that they are spread throughout the area. Renting a car would add a lot of money to the trip, but I'm not sure how else I'd go about transporting myself for practice rounds and on tournament days.

Rooster Cooper   August 11, 2022 at 11:20pm

Lived in Austin for 23 years, not sure exactly which courses you're playing...but public transportation is not good and won't get you anywhere near most of the courses. Your best bet may be to find out which hotel will have a lot of players in your division and then try to hitch a ride to and from the course (though tee-times make that a little tougher to do).

Eric Bull    August 11, 2022 at 12:46am

Why is there no MA40 division?

TY for the explanation.

Eric Bull   August 12, 2022 at 3:43am

Lastly, I won an A-tier in Jacksonville, FL. So I still have to pay to register?

Kyle Harrigan   August 12, 2022 at 5:05pm

Yes, Winners of premier events get paid entry ONLY if there are 12 or more competitors in a division

Noah Kohl    August 11, 2022 at 12:44am

Will D pool only play at 2 courses or will another be added?

Corban Phillips    August 9, 2022 at 4:51pm

Bummed that MPO isn't playing any of the same courses as last year...

Kyle Harrigan   August 9, 2022 at 5:17pm

Unfortunately there are a few issues,l with those courses, distance, the issues that are at Roy G, we had to adapt to what was available

Corban Phillips   August 13, 2022 at 3:27am

Appreciate the response Kyle

DJ Lawson    August 9, 2022 at 3:35pm

hey guys, saw that B pool only has 2 courses assigned? will you be adding a 3rd or will we be playing one of them twice? looking for lodging in relation to all the courses for my pool..
Thanks.

Is there anyway I could move up to MPO? Thank you i’m so excited!!

David Turner    August 8, 2022 at 9:22pm

I see the courses are posted. Are these subject to change at all? It looks like the MA2 courses are all so far from each other, and looks like it'll be 2-3 hours of driving each day, will be exhausting. Is there any chance some changes will happen to help minimize travel times?

Jonathan logue   August 9, 2022 at 11:55am

Flying Armadillo is 45/50 mins from where the players check in will be. Swordstone is ~30/35 minutes, Old Settlers Park is ~30/35 minutes.

David Turner   August 9, 2022 at 3:13pm

That's what I saw too, but I imagine it'll be far worse with traffic right? Or am I off base with that assumption? If it really will be 30 minutes each way, that's not too bad.

Tom Rohrer    August 8, 2022 at 1:44am

What is the "Finals" on Saturday, Oct 29? Is that a round of golf that all registered players will play?

Kyle Harrigan   August 8, 2022 at 2:38pm

That is the finals, more information will come out closer to the event, there will be a cut to play the final day. All players will play three rounds, 1 per day Wednesday-Friday.

Tom Rohrer    August 8, 2022 at 1:41am

I see only 2 courses identified for D pool. Is it a partial list or are there only 2 courses for the first 3 rounds? It would be nice to be able to have the opportunity to play a third course if possible.

What tees will MA2 be playing at Flying Armadillo?

Kyle Harrigan   August 7, 2022 at 10:11pm

The specific course by course details are being finalized and will come out with the final caddy books closer to the event. Last year I believe they played the Blue tees, I imagine that may be similar this year
