Players,
The 2022 NADGT: C-Tier @ Burns Park is tomorrow!
Schedule:
Check-in: 7:45-8:45am - At the pavilion - ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN THE DAY OF THE EVENT!
Round 1: 9:00 start (shotgun)
Lunch: on your own
Round 2: one hour and fifteen minutes after the conclusion of Round 1
Awards: 30 minutes after the conclusion of Round 2
Ace Pot: There will be an optional $5 ace pot. Make sure you get in on that when you check in! If no aces are hit during either round, we will throw off before the awards.
CTB: All players will have the opportunity to throw for some extra prizes each round! There will be CTBs on hole 3 in Round 1 and hole 8 in Round 2. There will be three divisions: men, women, and juniors.
Players Meeting: This email will serve as the official players meeting, and TDs will be available to answer any questions on the day of the event.
Check-in will begin at 7:45am. ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN THE MORNING OF THE EVENT. Full players' packs will be available for anyone who signed up before the shipping cutoff. If your full pack is not available in the morning, the remaining items will be mailed to the address you provided at registration.
Starting Hole Assignments: Starting hole assignments are posted to the PDGA event page, which can be found at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/55887. Starting assignments may change slightly if there are any last-minute signups, so make sure to double-check on the morning of the event.
Water: Due to the accelerated spread of COVID-19 in our area, water jugs will not be provided for this event. Players should plan ahead and bring extra water for themselves.
Lunch: You will have one hour and fifteen minutes for lunch after the last card is turned in. We will post the second-round tee time on the PDGA page as well as the Facebook event page. That can be found here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/334400985359411
Dress Code: PDGA Dress Code
Parking/Course Address: 22 Funland Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72118
There should be plenty of parking available near the Tournament Central pavilion close to The Tank. Once you have checked in and know your hole assignment, you may want to go park in the softball lots to be closer to your starting hole.
OB Sheets will be available digitally, but printed copies will be available for each card. They are attached to your email and are loaded into the PDGA digital scorecard. The OB lines have been painted at the course. We have added some additional marking on hole 5 where the fence has been falling over. This will hopefully keep from having issues. Definitely be aware that there’s a good portion of the fence that will not stop your disc from going OB! Also, we are using the white line of the road to mark the OB when the hole follows the main road, so you can be in bounds yet be completely on asphalt, please keep this in mind, any part of the disc touching in bounds is in! The Drop Zones are marked on the ground with paint and flagging. The 2 island holes have a DZ for any drives that don’t land in bounds.
Scoring: We will use PDGA Live Scoring for the tournament. pdga.com/score The password is burns. EVERY CARD MUST KEEP A DIGITAL SCORECARD! DON'T FORGET TO FINALIZE YOUR SCORE ONCE THE ROUND IS OVER! (Rule 808.F) Each card must keep two scorecards, preferably both on PDGA Live Scoring. Paper scorecards will be available, but UDisc also works as a good backup.
Playoffs: In the event that multiple players tie for first place in a division, the players will need to play off to determine a winner. Players will play sudden-death stroke play on a loop of holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 17, and 18. Ties for second place or below will not require a playoff.
Awards: This is a trophy-only event. Division winners will receive a Trophy Pin - Provided by Disc Golf Pins (As of right now, pins will be mailed directly to winners after the conclusion of the event). Winners of qualifying divisions (MA1, MA40, MA50, MA2, FA1, FA2, FA40) with 5+ players will earn an invitation to the National Championships in Austin, TX the last week in October. Winners of any division with 12 or more players will earn free entry into the Arkansas NADGT State Championships in July!
Divisions: If you wish to change divisions due to qualifying conditions--specifically having less than 5 players in your division or you signed up for a non-qualifying division--please let us know.
Let us know if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing everyone on the course!
