We have it tentatively set for October 26.

Is this happening again anytime soon?

Zack Fields   November 3, 2023 at 12:28am

They posted on FB that this would not be happening this year due the conflicting schedule with the city’s other events. I just hope it isn’t the death of the event.

Blake Feltman   November 3, 2023 at 9:46pm

Thanks Zack, and I sure hope we get it again early this next year!

Will there be a caddy book posted online this year?

David Crauswell   October 21, 2022 at 9:48pm

Yes, we'll have one out soon.

How early will the course baskets be set up? Curious if there will be any chance for practice.

Caleb Ferguson   October 15, 2022 at 9:44pm

With the city permits, we can only put the baskets up the night before the event. We have to wait for streets to get closed down before we begin building the course. Typically that begins around 10 pm and finish by 6/7 a.m. However with playing the holes for 2 rounds instead of 1 you should know what to fully expect by round 2.

Is this a B tier for pros or AM’s?

David Crauswell   October 6, 2022 at 2:49am

B-Tier for Open, C-Tier for Ams. This will allow non-PDGA members to sign up to play on the Am side.

When will the tournament start/when should we be there?

David Crauswell   October 6, 2022 at 2:48am

We plan to have the schedule posted by this Friday, 10-7.

Does the entire entry MPO fee go to pro payout or is it split different ways?

David Crauswell   September 30, 2022 at 2:17pm

100% of MPO goes to payout, minus $3 per player for PDGA fees.

Trent Mummey    September 19, 2022 at 2:15pm

Y’all do realize we are a non-profit and everybody who helps with this tournament volunteers their time. Comparing this to other tournaments isn’t fair because we are a charity first and foremost. The depth of reasons of why the DTTD is $100 is far too great for me to list. This tournament doesn’t have to happen… setting up a course downtown over night is very hard and almost idiotic to do. So when you’re questioning things…and commenting on here…know ... more

The money we make always either goes to tournaments or course improvements. It takes a while to save money for the improvements we want to make. We have ran multiple B tiers and do our best to sponsor other tournaments when approached. I can be very transparent with our financials if I really need to be.

James (Mike) Burr   September 20, 2022 at 1:50am

I'm playing but did get sticker shock and have friends that loved the tournament last year but just can't justify $200 for the 2 of them playing.

James (Mike) Burr   September 20, 2022 at 1:59am

Oh sorry, I play in tournaments that raise money for cancer to support families, etc. so I support the charity angle but it is still much more expensive than other c class charity tourneys. Surely you understand what people are asking. You could have just played 5 per hole or added extra holes if you wanted more money.

Jamison Spain    September 18, 2022 at 8:38pm

How are y’all gonna charge more for this than the Mega Bowl? Also not giving us much info yet even though early registration already opened, we don’t even know if it’s a C or B tier??? Insane.

Oh so $100 to play a C Tier. Makes sense ????????

Jamison Spain   September 18, 2022 at 9:38pm

Well obviously but isn’t it dumb this costs more than the A Tier Mega Bowl?

Lawrence Hinkle   September 19, 2022 at 1:08pm

Why so mean to Jamison? He asked a legit question. This is a hobby for most. I know some people play to try and make a paycheck, but most of us just enjoy the game. So it’s reasonable to expect a trophy only tournament to be far less than an A tier several day event.

has city approved yet?

David Crauswell   September 9, 2022 at 12:22am

Next meeting is Tuesday, so we should be able to get on the agenda.

Joseph Rizo    September 7, 2022 at 12:24am

One day event?

Yes
