Good Luck this week, Tear it up!!!

Billy Ray Osborn    July 30, 2021 at 6:30pm

Since there are only 2 teams in MP55 for doubles, if we all agree can we move to MP50? What do you say Andy and Roger?

In response to player feedback, the PDGA has updated the policy regarding how divisions with fewer players will be reduced (cut) entering the semi-final round. This change will ensure more players from smaller divisions have the opportunity to compete in the semi-finals at the World Championships. See the announcement (and a link to the updated numbers) here: https://www.pdga.com/announcements/semi-finals-and-finals-policy-updated-2021-pro-masters-worlds

There were 16 competitors in the MPO 65+, and through no fault of all of us, one drops out. Seeming to put us under that "magical" number of 16 needed for a Semifinal round in our division. What is the rationale for limiting us in such a way (other than an arbitrary rule), when it takes no extra time or effort to have a semi? Which would have happened originally anyway. Many folks are traveling significant miles, spending significant amounts of money and time for what is the "worl ... more

Ah! That is something to which I did NOT pay attention. You got it so correct, plenty of space in those semis. Guess my age is showing through?

Mike Sullivan   July 29, 2021 at 9:05pm

The top 6 MP65 players (plus ties) will go to the semis: https://www.pdga.com/announcements/semi-finals-and-finals-policy-updated-2021-pro-masters-worlds

Thank you for being reasonable and listening to the members!

Shawn Johnson    July 25, 2021 at 8:12pm

Hey worlds crew.. I'm nursing a foot injury an thinking it may be best to sit this one out. Are there folks on the mp40 wait list?

Andrew Sweeton   July 25, 2021 at 8:30pm

No, there are no wailtists at this time so it would be a 0% refund for singles, but 100% of any ancillary items..

Ron Cole    July 25, 2021 at 4:25pm

Dear Sirs,

It is with great sadness I must withdraw. I have somehow broken myself and am unable to compete in Worlds. I apologize for the last minute informing but wanted to make sure all options that might allow me to participate were exhausted. Thank you for your tremendous efforts on behalf of us players and creating something truly special, life-changing and memorable.
I expect to see you next year.

With much love, respect and appreciation,

Ron Cole

How many fp40 will play in the semis?

Andrew Sweeton   July 24, 2021 at 8:02pm

There are less than 16 competitors in FP40 so no semis. See the chart beneath the course schedule: https://www.pdga.com/files/2021_master_worlds_course_schedule_v5.7.pdf

Melodie Bailey   July 24, 2021 at 9:20pm

That is a huge let down. I think 13 is enough to let us play especially because there will be no women in the semis!!!! if anything the final 9 should be what is skipped not the full 18 hole round of the semis.

Mike Sullivan   July 29, 2021 at 9:05pm

The top 6 FP40 (plus ties) will go to the semis: https://www.pdga.com/announcements/semi-finals-and-finals-policy-updated-2021-pro-masters-worlds

Can I park a camper van at Harmon Hills on Friday and Saturday nights 7/31 and 8/1?

Tim Barr   July 20, 2021 at 2:21pm

Yes, all camping is primitive though. Let me know when you are close so I can make sure you park in the correct spot.

J. Gary Dropcho   July 25, 2021 at 1:26am

Very Good! PM sent.

Pam(ouflage) Reineke    July 19, 2021 at 1:51am

Hi Tim. I signed up Sandy and I for doubles. I paid PayPal but I have no idea what division I signed us up for. Can’t find us. Lol. Please help. Wanna play in the FPO 40 with Donna and her partner

I signed up for the putting competition but I'm not showing on the list. Is there something else I need to do?

Mike Sullivan   July 15, 2021 at 4:24pm

Charlie, the Field Events are updated manually, usually weekly. I believe Todd does it every Monday.

Todd Lion   July 19, 2021 at 4:25pm

I updated the lists today.

Courtney McCoy    July 8, 2021 at 8:33pm

Will there be any video crews for masters world's? Being a major I really hope there will be coverage of both the men and the women. Thanks

Ken Kreie   July 8, 2021 at 9:41pm

PDGA scheduled the Ledgestone Open at the same time as our World Championships.

Courtney McCoy   July 9, 2021 at 2:55pm

that's not an excuse at ALL. This is a major... that is NOT

Ken Kreie   July 10, 2021 at 2:09am

Agreed

Sara Nicholson    July 3, 2021 at 1:29pm

Have the layouts been decided yet? Which basket will FP40 play at Winged Deer? Thank you

Tim Barr   July 3, 2021 at 1:57pm

At Winged Deer, there is only one tee per hole but 2 baskets per hole. For Worlds, all divisions that play Winged Deer will play to the White Veteran baskets.

Tim Barr   July 3, 2021 at 1:58pm

The Mach 3's will not be in the ground for Worlds, to avoid confusion. If you are planning to practice prior to Worlds week, play the Veterans, they are and have been in tournament positions for months.

Sara Nicholson   July 3, 2021 at 2:50pm

Thanks Tim. Appreciate it!

ruben alaniz    July 2, 2021 at 11:45pm

Hello, I am formally withdrawing from the event and have requested a full refund. Didn't realize today was the last to do so. Thanks, Ruben Alaniz #31881
