Michael - my goal is to get an email out to all the participants this evening which will basically outline everything which would be covered in a typical Player's Meeting. With scheduled tee times, you'll still need to check in and be at Shelter J (by Hole 3) 15 minutes before your scheduled tee time. There myself or Rodney Mullen (Asst. TD) will go over a punctuated meeting and instructions as well as be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

We played it for league last night and didn't notice any issues other than it being a little overgrown. We're going out there with a weedwacker today to clean it up a bit. If poison ivy is a concern, then I'd highly recommend covering yourself as there's probably some in the various woods and other spots on the course. However, I was wearing shorts last night and don't have any spots nor issues from when we moved the basket as well as played the hole.

It goes to the PDGA, the KCDG, paying for the rental of two shelters over two days, insurance, the trophies, the hole sponsorship signs, and if any is leftover it will go towards the $750 added cash for the Pro payouts.

Parks and Rec is aware and working on it. As it's a large park, with limited resources, it takes multiple people multiple hours on multiple days to get it cut. The reason the greens and tee pads are mowed is because they bring a smaller mower in for all of those and use a tractor for the rest. The tractor would destroy both the pads and baskets if it got too close. We are well aware, as is the Parks, but if it was all cut short right now, then it would be too long during the tourney - thus they're timing/staggering the schedule for mowing it along with all the other Parks they are responsible for in the County.

With rain in the forecast, six of the next nine days, I don’t anticipate setting the pins until next Thursday at the earliest - as I don’t want the greens to get destroyed and everything turning into ‘mud putts’. Additionally, the course is extremely hairy right now, so priority #1 is getting P&R out there to clean it up. I’ll try and post the exact layout by the end of the week, so you can always play to the post if you’d like. Day 1 will be shorter than Day 2.

1. The field most likely won't be expanded unless there are a significant amount of players on the waitlist. Even so, the Amateur side will max out at 108 as that's the equivalent number of Player's Packs we have. That being said, I've already processed over 20 refunds, so I imagine you will get in with only three currently on the Waitlist. Additionally, that's why the Waitlist registrants aren't required to pay up front as there's no guarantee of a spot at this point.

2. I won't set the layout until the week before (at the earliest) as I'd like to keep the greens fresh for the event - especially if we have rain prior to the event. The layout will be shorter on Saturday with a number of pins moving to longer positions on Sunday.
