Kan-U-WyCo Round 2 has unfortunately been cancelled. Thank you everyone who came out this morning with hopes of playing. Unfortunately due to course conditions and potential for thunderstorms throughout the rest of the afternoon we felt this decision was best.
Pro Payouts wil be updated on PDGA website - https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/49980.

I wish we had the new baskets for the tournament. I was kinda disappointed that we have them and aren't using them for this.

Are they moving tee times back bc of lightning? Is the only communication by email?
Nathaniel Spencer May 14, 2021 at 9:59pm
Thanks! Played a round yesterday. Yeah, I think it was best. Wanted others to know who might be more allergic and also helps people find discs faster with pace of play. Thanks again to you both! Cheers

are Sunday tee times the same as Saturday? or announced later?
Chris Hazelton May 14, 2021 at 2:31am
So sorry to request this, but is there any way I could get moved to a card in the morning? For some reason, I thought it said 7am-2pm when I registered. I have to work in Lawrence at 6pm.
I could try intermediate if that makes it easier on you to move me.
I’ll need to move you to MA2, but will update this morning as I’ve had a couple of withdrawals to process.

When will Tee times be posted?

Are caddies allowed?
As long as Wyandotte County doesn't have any restrictions, the weekend of the tournament it should be ok. Make sure you (and your caddie) familiarize yourselves with the following: https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/305

Hey Erik!
Wanting to understand how the players meeting will work. Are you doing one players meeting in the morning that everyone needs to attend and then come back later for their tee times? Or are you doing multiple players meetings throughout the day?
Thanks!
Michael - my goal is to get an email out to all the participants this evening which will basically outline everything which would be covered in a typical Player's Meeting. With scheduled tee times, you'll still need to check in and be at Shelter J (by Hole 3) 15 minutes before your schedu ... more

Hi Erik. Has anyone looked at hole 4 pen location. Poison ivy is in full swing. I played a few times already and it looks to be very green around that pen. To be honest I didn’t want to trek in there since I don’t do well with it and I’d hate for people that are allergic to trek through it. Is someone going to clean it out? I’ll definitely be wearing pants probably long sleeve. Just wanted to point that out to you and others. Cheers
We played it for league last night and didn't notice any issues other than it being a little overgrown. We're going out there with a weedwacker today to clean it up a bit. If poison ivy is a concern, then I'd highly recommend covering yourself as there's probably some in the va ... more
Green and approach areas have been cleaned and opened up thanks to Rodney Mullen.

So no payout, correct?
It goes to the PDGA, the KCDG, paying for the rental of two shelters over two days, insurance, the trophies, the hole sponsorship signs, and if any is leftover it will go towards the $750 added cash for the Pro payouts.
The Disc Golf Scene and PayPal also take a cut out of every registration as well.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that wyco was getting new baskets. I assume that's not happening in time for the tourney at this point, but just curious if that's still the case since that was a while ago and I haven't heard anything. Thanks.
They are scheduled to get them, at some point, but I'm not involved in those conversations.

I just went and practice the course yesterday. Is it supposed to be mowed in the fairways before the tournament?
Parks and Rec is aware and working on it. As it's a large park, with limited resources, it takes multiple people multiple hours on multiple days to get it cut. The reason the greens and tee pads are mowed is because they bring a smaller mower in for all of those and use a tractor for the rest. ... more

What is the expected date for the pin placements to be set?
With rain in the forecast, six of the next nine days, I don’t anticipate setting the pins until next Thursday at the earliest - as I don’t want the greens to get destroyed and everything turning into ‘mud putts’. Additionally, the course is extremely hairy right now, so prior ... more

Couple of questions, how likely will the field be expanded if waitlist individuals still don't have a spot and when will the layout be set for the tournament? Thank you!
1. The field most likely won't be expanded unless there are a significant amount of players on the waitlist. Even so, the Amateur side will max out at 108 as that's the equivalent number of Player's Packs we have. That being said, I've already processed over 20 refunds, so I i ... more
2. I won't set the layout until the week before (at the earliest) as I'd like to keep the greens fresh for the event - especially if we have rain prior to the event. The layout will be shorter on Saturday with a number of pins moving to longer positions on Sunday.

Would I be able to request to be on the earliest possible tee time?
To clarify I only need to be placed on the early tee time on Saturday. Sunday I am fine with any time of the day. Thanks again
They will be announced Saturday night and the order/timing may be completely different than the ones for Saturday.
