2020 Beaver State Fling (A-Tier)
About this tournament
Stumptown Disc Golf is pleased to announce the 2020 Beaver State Fling, a PDGA National Tour Elite Series event, will take place on the weekend of June 26th - 28th, 2020 at Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Oregon. Attending players will be tested by several rounds of championship level disc golf on two spectacular 18 hole courses playing along the Clackamas River.
Please Note: We have big changes coming this year.
After years of using the same format and schedule, in response to input from players and the PDGA, we are changing the format a bit for 2020. This year all players will play one round per day over three days for a total of three rounds of sanctioned competition. This includes all Amateur and all Professional divisions.
Important Note: This schedule change will require us to finish later on Sunday evening, so please take that into consideration while making your travel plans.
In addition to the NT and the A-Tier disc golf tournaments the Beaver State Fling will also have our vendor village where you can grab some food and a drink and stock up on your favorite disc golf gear. To help keep players entertained off the course, we plan on having a putting contest and our epic 18 hole mini disc golf course.
We will be offering 172 Professional spots and 148 Amateur spots between the NT, and A-Tier events.
Ratings Based Professional Registration:
Here is the PDGA Tiered Registration Schedule for all Pro players:
• Phase 1: 04/06/2020 @ 6:00pm PDT - Registration opens for all 1000+ rated Professional men, plus all 900+ rated Professional women (in any division).
• Phase 2: 04/13/2020 @ 6:00pm PDT - Registration opens for all 985+ rated professional men (in any division), plus all 875+ rated Professional women (in any division).
• Phase 3: 04/20/2020 @ 6:00pm PDT - Registration opens for all 970+ rated professional men (in any division), plus all 825+ rated Professional women (in any division).
• Phase 4: 04/27/2020 @ 6:00pm PDT - Registration opens for all remaining spots
Important Notes:
• All Professional Registration (Both NT and A-Tier) will be managed at discgolfscene.com
• All Amateur Registration will be managed by 4DiscGolf.com.
• All players must be current PDGA members to register for this event.
• All players in the National Tour event must have passed the officials exam.
• Do not ignore your registration window. This event historically fills quickly.
• We will have division size caps in place to ensure non-MPO divisions remain viable.
• Anyone attempting to register before their tier is open will have their registration rejected.
• We require at least 4 players to create a division.
