Hi Cameron. Just found out that I am available to play this weekend!! I know registration is closed. Sounds like you are or have given refunds. It would be fun for this old man from San Diego to play in MA 50+ this weekend if something shakes loose. I will be around this weekend with my bag. Ill be sure to say hello. We actually met late afternoon a couple of days ago at picnic. We were finishing and you were just getting ready to tee. Look forward to your response.

Benefit goes to the player. If it is so close where you would think about measuring it, give the player the benefit of the doubt.

out of curiosity.. why does the club enforce it? Ive honestly only ever heard of it being enforced out in California... i dont see much of a point to it.

I'm not sure Josh. I think it is more tradition than anything. It is by far my least favorite optional rule. The club uses it at thier events and have requested that we do as well if we are going to use the course.

The reason we enforce this rule at Maximo is because it is a short technical course that is designed to hit lines. So players that decide to go up and over need to have a risk factor. Well said Doug. I'll have to agree with that. You should be able to hit your lines and not be rewarded for going with high lucky shots.

If it is only needed on a couple of holes why not just use it on those two holes? The larger issue is that the PDGA lists it as an optional rule. What other sport has optional rules? Needs to be taken out of the rule book and if a tournament wants to use it they should have to apply for a waiver. No major tournament uses the rule and it is time local clubs stop using it too.

Thats your opinion Joe. The PDGA has allowed the rule to still be in place and I believe it fits this course for the reasons stated above. By the way, almost all other sports are played on the same playing field. That’s the beauty to our sport.

Good morning wes. Yes, there will be 3 separate award ceramonies. They will be brief with the idea to get everyone on the road back home before 1:30

I worked it out so I could play, but just got out of surgery, so I won't be able to. Had to get my appendix removed... Just not meant to be even though I love those courses. I will take the full players pack option to help out brother, unless that causes an issue. Your call boss!

You should be able to do it straight from the confirmation email you received. There should be a link to update registration.

The modify registration option for changing divisions is turned off. I guess TD will have to do it.

Yes, i have that option turned off due to the multiple pools. Mitch you are still on the waitlist, if a spot opens up the invite to register will reflect an MA50 entry. Let me know if you have any questions

Hey John, unfortunately the B Pool showed that it was full at the time of his request so there was nowhere to put him on my end. It may not have shown on your end, but on my end it qas showing full. Unfortunately he will have to remain on the waitlist until a spot opens up. Let me know if you have any questions.
