About this tournament

DHO registrants play two rounds in their respective pools: "Front 18" (Legacy front 9 holes, Forest Drive front 9 holes) and "Back 18" (Legacy back 9 holes, Forest Drive back 9 holes). MD Senior Olympics-only players are required to play only the first round, but they may play both rounds if they choose. MD Senior Olympics Medals will be awarded based on 1st round scores.

Format will be somewhat different from last year:

Pool A (Open Pro (MPO), MP40 and MP50 and Advanced Am (MA1), MA40 and MA50) will play the first round on the Back 18 from the orange (long) tees to the purple (short) baskets. They will play the second round on the Front 18 from the purple (short) tees to the orange (long) baskets.

Pool B (Pro Men MP60/MP70/MP75/MP80, Amateur Men MA60/MA70/MA2/MA3); All Women Pro and Amateur; All MDSO-Only): 1st Round, Front 18, orange (long) tees to the purple (short) baskets; 2nd Round, Back 18, purple tees/purple baskets.

As stated above, MD Senior Olympics Medals will be awarded based on 1st round scores. It is expected that Pros and Adv Ams have a skill advantage over Int, Rec and MDSO-only players in their respective age groups. This provides the rationale for Pool A players' and Pool B players' competing for the same medals even though they play different holes.

The DHO format (two 18-hole courses) has been based on the assumption of a field in excess of 72. If we don't exceed 72 this year, we still will play the Front 18 and Back 18.

NOTE CHANGE: Lunch is NOT included. Please bring your own food. Some food may be available for purchase. The portion of entry fees that was intended for lunch will be applied to payouts and beverages.
