Since I have never played Lemon Lake..are there any water hazards in which I may lose a disc or two? Are the courses cart friendly.

Suggestion: reallocate 1/2 (or 10) of the open spots of MA40 to MA50. Still allows both to grow
I am in already so I am advocating for my older brethren out there that may want to try and beat me -haha :)
(B Pool) - MA40 is a pool by itself with FA40. (C Pool) - MA50 now is 45 players (9 5 some's) & MP50 have been opened to 45 players (9 5 some's) to let in everyone that was on the waiting list.
Jay I appreciate all the hard work that you have been doing, and the changes that you and Deb have done! I think that you might rethink the idea of playing 5somes on the Gold course, especially on Saturday when we have to play two rounds.
The schedule of courses is not finalized. I will confer with my assistant TD's on an appropriate plan for the amount of players that we will have in the C Pool

Hey Jay,
1st , You are doing a great job keeping up with everything. Way to go!
I have been waiting for a slot to open in the Advanced masters 50+ and see that there is one. Could you please move me from the amateur 40+ division to the 50+ division.
THANKS!

I sort of expected that a PDGA Major would make all official divisions available and apparent, including my preferred MP70 division. So, I passed on registering for this tournament until next year, if I live that long. But I've recently read all the earlier comments, and I now see that there had been a number of comments about this issue of new divisions. In hindsight, I think the PDGA should have required all divisons be made available for all A-tier & above. This post is to "lobby" my 70+ friends, so they might show their interest in the newly created division.
I was happy to find a 55+ division at Ballantyne when it looked like a 65+ division was not there.
I understand there are fewer players in the upper aged divisions. However, if the divisions aren't offered there will not be any players. I'm now in the 75+ division and consistently play in the 60+ just to compete. I still feel competitive in this age group. I would like to see the 60 ... more
The plan that sometimes works for me is to register in the closest division that is offerd then seek out other players who would ask that a new appropriate division is carved out. My signal to MA65+ players hasn't worked here SO FAR. The TD did help make a MA70+ when asked. TDs will start with ... more

I understand work is being done on the courses, when will the majority of work be done? A group of us are thinking about a road trip for practice
Silver and Gold will not change. We have some new tee pads going in on White Gold and Red. Red is fully open now as well as we restored this course last year. The White course will be extended for US Masters. That course will not fully reconfigured until after the club challenge on 4/14. Throug ... more

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING PLAYING BUT A DIVISION IS FULL, PLEASE CONSIDER STILL REGISTERING. WE ARE WORKING TO ACCOMMODATE AS MANY PLAYERS THAT WOULD LIKE TO PLAY BY MAKING FIELD AND POOL ADJUSTMENTS. YOU MUST BE A PDGA MEMBER AND YOU MUST TAKE THE OFFICIALS TEST FOR THIS EVENT. PLEASE CALL THE FLIGHT CENTER AT 219-771-3472 WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
Pam(ouflage) Reineke February 20, 2018 at 4:04am
Why only 4 spots held for most Pro women fields? At least give us a chance to not sign up. Lol. I hope you fit us all in. Thanks
Hi Pam! We will be making adjustments again on March 1st. We are planning to accommodate as many players as possible based on interest in divisions
Danny Austin February 14, 2018 at 10:10pm

Jay, Have you decided starting time for 1st round on Friday? Afternoon start would allow a pre-round practice round or walk through
It will likely be 1:00. Park will open at 7AM for practice. I will be posting the schedule here shortly.

Jay: Do you know yet if tent camping is going to be an option?
Unfortunately I have not received a confirmation on that as of yet. I will however be meeting with staff at the fairgrounds early next week and I will see if I can get an answer then. I do know that there are some restrictions. Camping would be allowed for RVs and trailers only. There is no tent ... more

I am sad to say that I will need to withdraw from the tournament:-( Last week, I tore my rotator cuff while warming up for an Ice Bowl. Hope to see you all next year. If anyone needs a place to stay while in Crown Point, message me. I just gave up a great airbnb house
Jay Svitko January 31, 2018 at 4:34pm
MA50 & MA60 are full
Are there 3 or more other fellows interested in a MA65 breakout? Big payouts are no incentive for me.

Hey Ken. You can use your cart pretty much across all of the courses. Gold has some stairway but for the most part all the courses are cart friendly. There are 2 holes, one on Gold and the other on Blue where water comes into play. Other than those 2 holes the fairways are either open or heavily wooded depending on the course.
