The traditional home course of Toronto Island will be the utilized for the event on Saturday and Sunday & MONDAY, September 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and players will enjoy tee time starts with one round of 18 holes each of the three days. We are also honoured to have Prodigy Disc Canada as our title sponsor for this prestigious event.

Holding the Canadian Open is a time honoured tradition first started by the Legend Ken Westerfield and we may be graced with his presents on this auspicious weekend. It is a great honour for me to carry on the decades old tradition of running prestigious disc and disc golf events here in Toronto. I have had the honour to be part of the so much of the growth of disc in my 40+ years of playing and organizing.
Having been part of the organizing committee for the first PDGA Worlds held outside the US in 1987 and then the TD hosting the Canadian Open in 1988 and then the TD for the WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships in Toronto in 1991, I have an innate ability to put on first class events and have had the pleasure of helping David in delivering past TIML's.

Following tradition, the 2018 Canadian Open will be a trophy-only event for all Amateur divisions featuring a fabulous players pack and performance based awards for the top finishers in each AM division. For those ready to battle in the Pro ranks, $4,000 cash is added to the Pro divisions to bring the tournament purse to approximately of 150% of the Pro entry fees.

See you on the Island in September!
