2017 State Games of America - Disc Golf

The Meijer State Games of Michigan has proudly offered the oportunity for the Grand Rapids Dogs of Disc to host, for the first time, the Disc Golf event as part of their coverage of the AMERICAN GAMES. State Games are held in 34 states with Winter and Summer Games as their event titles, and are considered Olympic Style events The American Games comes as a result of the individual State Games. Grand Rapids won the bid for the event to be hosted in Grand Rapids in 2017.

This is a two day event, with a total of 3 rounds of 18 holes of disc golf. 2 rounds will be held on Saturday, August 5, with the remaining round being played on Sunday, August 6.

Grand Masters (and older), Women, MA4, and JRs will all be utilizing the short pads for 6, 7, 8, 13, 17, & 18. If requested by the division to play from the long pads for round, accommodations may be made based on time of day.
