The player's pack pick up and putting contest will be held at Yellowhammer Brewery on Friday 5/26/17 starting at 5:00 PM!
The first round of the putting contest will be between 5 and 7:30. The format has changed a little from last year. The contest is free to enter, and only open to registered players of the 2017 Rocket City Blast. I will allow anyone who is on the 'Paid Waitlist' to play as well.

Putting Contest Rules:

Rd1 - 5:00-7:30 PM
- Players must play in groups of 2-3
- Each player puts once from each of the 18 marked spots
- Putts will vary in length and difficulty and will be made on multiple basket types.
- The highest 8 scores plus ties will advance to second round

Rd2 - 7:45
- Each player will throw 5 discs from a 10M mark.
- Player will receive 10 points for each putt made from 10M
- Player will then proceed to the next mark, based on the number of putts made:
0 = 5M, 1 = 6M, 2 = 7M, 3 = 8M, 4 = 9M, 5 = 10M
- Player will throw 5 discs from the next mark, receiving points as follows:
10M = 10, 9M = 9, 8M = 8, 7M = 7, 6M = 6, 5M = 5
- Repeat this process until player has thrown 25 putts for round 2
- The top 4 scores will advance to the third round

Rd3 - 8:30
- Each player will throw 5 discs from a 15M mark,
- Player will receive 15 points for each putt made from 15M
- Player will then proceed to the next mark, based on the number of putts made:
0 = 10M, 1 = 11M, 2 = 12M, 3 = 13M, 4 = 14M, 5 = 15M
- Player will throw 5 discs from the next mark, receiving points as follows:
15M = 15, 14M = 14, 13M = 13, 12M = 12, 11M = 11, 10M = 10
- Repeat this process until player has thrown 25 putts for round 3


1st Place - $250!
2nd Place - A set of steak knives (j/k, it is actually a Dynamic Discs Micro Recruit Basket)
3rd Place - Merchandise (T-shirts, discs, etc.)

Hey Larry, good afternoon.

I appreciate all of your hard work getting ready for The Blast. I am looking forward to it!

As of this post, I see there are 83 spots available for AM's. Could you please go ahead and shift some of those available spots over to the Pro side? I think 15 spots would be good and see how things progress. I know for sure there are still a variety of Pros that would like to sign-up.

Again, looking forward to it! It's going to be a good one!
