About this tournament

When:
August, 19, 2017. Check in starts at 9am, the tournament will start at 10am.

Format:
Four rounds of 9 holes, one throw per hole per player.

Course layout:
Ferguson Park is the perfect course for an Ace Race! We will have our standard "Ace Run" layout, modifying the tees on 1 and 7 so we aren't throwing at each other, shortening 2 so the players on tee pad 5 don't have to duck, putting tee pad 8 on top of the hill to give us a chance and finally, moving tee pad 9 out of the way of hole 8.

Entry fee: $30 (US), up to $45 (non-US)

Player package:
All 2016 players received two identical Discraft ESP prototype discs made especially for this year's Ace Race, plus a high performance wicking t-shirt, a premium disc golf towel, reuseable scorecard, SuperColor mini, and a vinyl sticker. The 2017 player pack will be announced later this year. All included with your entry fee! (I will update this post as soon as we have the disc info; expecting it shortly!)

Rules of play:
Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the package. Only one throw per player per hole. All players should have their own scorecards and mark "A" for aces (a hole-in-one) and "M" for holes on which they hit metal.

Mulligans will be available for $1 each (purchased at registration, only one mulligan may be used on per hole, per round.) If you have one and wish to use it, use your second disc for a second chance that the ace.

After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round.

The player with the most aces after 36 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner. (This will be hole 7.)

Prize package:
Discraft always spoiled the winners! A new bag filled with lovely plastic. As always, we will have our mini-disc ace hole between holes 9 and 1 which will give you a chance to win raffle tickets. All proceeds from the Ace Race will be dumped into the raffle, so the more players, the more prizes!!

And yes, we will be giving away a basket with our Basket Shoot Out! $2 buys you a flag and 2 shots at the basket (that you must take with your Ace Race discs). Mark the closest with your flag. The top 5 players will have a single throw CTP for the basket! (One flag per player, additional throws may be purchased at $1 each)
