now that the autumn olives are mostly gone the ground is much different from last year when there was that mix of woodchips and sticks on the ground. most holes it's turned to grass but in the rough on some holes this groundcover has grown that's a mix of foot high dense leafy plant, sharp spiky weeds and poison ivy. we are mostly going to be fine with less spotters this year but I would HIGHLY encourage through to send a second spotter on some holes because it's going to be ver ... more

I hope it dosn't come to it but I may be forced to work Saturday. What would be the latest I could drop and get a refund? Or can I since I am already outside the 7day window?
I checked with the PDGA today. Their best advice is to give you a 999 if you decide you can play on Sunday, it will be on the last card of your division and it will not count for score. You do get your players pack. Sunday is only 1 round. We will need to know asap so another disc golfer on the wait list can get in.
John, I got good news today, I am work free and will be able to play. Thanks for checking and sorry for the false alarm.

How many are on the Am wait list as of now?

Would it be possible to place me in the open division so I may play at toboggan this weekend?
However you would like me to pay the difference is fine.

Hey sorry about the late notice, I registered for AM1 (Eric Manidok #71386) and just saw my rating, yikes..anyway, if there's anyway i can be moved down to AM2, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all the hard work, very excited for this event!

Pool A has 76 players, are four of them supposed to be on the wait list?

I went to Hudson Mills yesterday to be re-acquainted with the courses. Some smart improvements...perfection eludes us, as tall grass serves little tactical purpose except to add points due to time violations. Does the park cut back the "amber waves of grain" on occasion?

Id like to help put it in

Does women tee off last on Saturday ?
I will have to look at my records but I believe we had Women teeing off first on Friday, last on Saturday, and in the middle on Sunday. My team will discuss this this weekend and try to establish tee times by groups asap. Tee times within the groups will not be available until after registration closes.
Listed on the "About" page of this years' event is a copy from last year's schedule. I do not see any reason to change it but I will inquire with my staff. Here is how it went down last year and preliminary again for this year: Fri May 29: MPO, MPM, FPO, Sat May 30: FPO, MPO, MPM players will tee in order of highest score, and Sun May 31: MPM, FPO, MPO players will tee in order of highest score.

Question about pro tee times, when and where will they be listed?
Here I hope, the PDGA for sure, and after registration closes so we know how to arrange them. Registration closes on the 27th at 8 pm so shortly there after.

I'm headin out to Hudson mills today to practice. I've only played the course out there once. Which course is more challenging, original or the monster? Which one should I focus my practice on?
I think your division will be playing the Original course twice and the Monster once. I would focus on that but be familiar with the Monster. Your division Courses; Original, Monster, Original, Short tees to short baskets.
Thanks for the insight. I played 24 holes on the original yesterday. Good thing I did because I had only played the monster course in the past. Finished 4 under par based off of the pars on the score sheet they gave me.

Hey John,
I registered for Am1 but have decided I would like to play Am2 based on my most recent rating. If you could change this for me that would be awesome. Thank you

Just curious what the players package will be like for this year. Any idea when it will be announced?
In an attempt to make something not done before, one of the items is taking a little longer to create. We were hoping for last week but are now hoping for the earlier part of this week.
At 12, I argued against my brothers' wishes to open presents on Christmas Eve. With Santa gone, waiting helped build the excitement.

Come on you Senior Grandmasters...don't leave me on a card with those 50+ kids.

My wife wants to come and watch but will have our 20 pound dog with us, is it ok that he walks with her on a leash as long as he doesn't cause a problem?
I will assume you mean The Tobaggan. John answered your question previously. Only a few days before the event.

Anyone from GR going? Or any locals know of a good place to stay

I didn't see a round on Friday for AMs, Is that right or am I not reading it correctly?
Fred Vocino May 5, 2015 at 7:15am
Just registered...automatic placement in MG1 occurred, but, prefer MS1. I am confident that oversight concerning MS1 reg-option does NOT mean that division is unavailable. I will be ready to play MS1 if others come.
Fred, I am quite sure as long as there would be a field, we would run it.
As volunteer numbers allow, this will be considered. Numbers are low at the moment..
Also, ticks have been horrible so far this year. Sounds like a haven for them.
