RevKev, Thanks again for hosting another fun event in Manhattan. More importantly, thanks helping the local food bank!
Thanks to EVERYONE who chipped in with equipment, energy, and ideas to help make this event that much more fun.
Finally, good job by EVERYONE for continuing to show that disc golf is a GOOD thing for our local community.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming out! Thanks to all volunteers and sponsors! Scores are posted. Pictures, and food-raising results will be posted later. If anyone has any pictures, I think you can upload them to the tournament picture page yourself. If not, e-mail them to [email redacted]. I will post them when I can. Congrats once again to Kevin Clouse, the only player under par!
Thanks RevKev! This was a very memorable ice bowl and very well organized by you and the volunteers. The Flint Hills Breadbasket should be blown away by how much food and donations the DFOKers raised! :D Shout out to the KSU Disc Golf Club for snow mountain! That was definitley a fun hole to sh ... more
thanks rev kev and lcm. well organized, fun designed course and in the end helped others... sounds like an lcm tournament.
I agree with all the comments. You put on good, fun tournaments, Kevin. The local disc golf scene benefits greatly from your work.

For my first tourney today was a blast thanks to everyone for pushing me to play it and thanks to Thad Pultz for bringing it to my attention and getting me into the sport.

Snow Mountain??????
If anybody wants to knock themselves out, I think it would be fun!
I am putting 2-alt about 10 ft beyond that tree by the west parking lot. It's marked with a flag (if it isn't buried!).
BTW... It would be really nice if some folks brought shovels to clear out the area around tournament central. It will be right next to that giant Cottonwood on the North side of the West Parking Lot. There is a flat area just to the East of the tree, and if we have two t ...

I'm full of free time and boredom today, so if anyone wants to attempt snow mountain I'm game. Turns out I don't actually own a shovel though, so I'll need to borrow one.
I was thinking Snow Mountain needs to go on a longer, open hole rather than a hole that already requires a technical shot off the tee. I can't get off work until about 4:15 or so, but I'll hurry over as soon as I'm off!

Good Luck at the Ice Bowl everyone! As always, I wish I could be there but it's a bit of a trek for me... It looks like you all got plenty of ice to make it a legit one though.
I too wish you were here. Today was fun!. But for whatever it's worth, you're legend is still alive and well around here.

Disc golf in the snow... what discs and accessories are in your bag? I cut my down to fairways, mids and putters... just slow discs. Lots of room in the bag for layers. I think i'm going to use the ribbon taped to discs to try to make search for discs faster. Ofcourse lots of towels.
haha and Kevin, instead of packing extra socks, just pack some extra underwear.
I have my gear ready for tomorrow: http://www.discgolfscene.com/profile/10252/pictures/album_7054/180927#180927

It sure would be cool if there's a huge pile of snow (at Fairmont Park) that Rev. Kev. could put a temp. pin placement on top of for this weekend's Ice Bowl Tournament...
I got my fill of shoveling today (plus falling on my __ ) so I will not be helping in the construction of said mountain. However it would be cool if it came together by others.
Maybe Rev. Kev could tell you guys a good place to build your snow mountain (especially with easy access). I'm guessing he's got an alt. #2 under that tree on the right... but that's just a guess.
Would anyone be willing to lend some shovels to help with the completion of snow mountain? We have plenty of able bodies, but it turns out none of us college students own shovels..

Still need one or two more baskets for the Ice Bowl...

It looks as though we may have ice at the Ice Bowl again this year. That is just good tournament planning, Rev Kev.
Yeah! Bring it on Mother Nature! Playing the Fairmont Expansion Area with snow would be awesome... for a good cause of course.

What discs are we getting?
By the way my sister is coming up to manhattan that weekend so I'm not sure if I'll play. Might just have to get the players pack and jet out of there.
Valk or Roc for me! So excited to play and gather up all the donations on Friday night!
Thank YOU, RevKev, for yet another fantastic Ice Bowl! Thanks again to the K-State club team members who helped make "Snow Mountain", the signature hole. LCM always puts on a great tournament, looking forward to participating in Break the Chains 2013!
