As stated above, if you see a mark it is for those who owe payment. Since there was a period of time that you could register and pay, which has been changed to a zero fee for waitlist, that is what you are seeing. It has nothing to do with anything that a player should be worried about or question. It is there for tournament staff to be aware that someone would owe payment if they were to make it off the waitlist. As of right now, being 12 days away, there is no movement on the waitlist and those who have paid will get their money back following round 1 of the event.

I can’t tell if you are “wow” good or “wow” bad? With the limited room we have for both the Amateur and the Pro side, we did the best we could to create cap sizes that would be appropriate. If we could add more players, we would increase the field size, but sadly we can’t. The vision is to have a split weekend in 2022 to allow for larger fields for both the pro and Am field.

Just to be clear, any spots not filled in the pro side will be allocated to the pro side. Those not filled in the Am side will be allocated to the Am side. There will not be spots from the pro side to fill Am positions.

Ok... but based on your comments below it sounds like all the spots were taken prior to registration opening. You were still willing to accept sponsorship money without offering any early entry spots. Just all sounds strange to me.

I am sorry you feel this way. Sponsorships are always welcome, even without benefit to the player. Sponsorships are what make the player packs, the venue rental, the food you as a player are supplied between rounds, the prizes, etc....without the sponsors, that would not happen. Perhaps in the future, you can make the event as an active player. This is only the first year and we will be expanding in years to come.

As of right now, both the amateur and pro side are set. I’ve done the best I can to accommodate as many divisions as possible with the limited number of spots we have available. If caps aren’t met, we will allocate to open another division. Sorry if you don’t like the answer, but we have done our best. This is the first annual and plan to expand to a full amateur weekend and full professional weekend in 2022.
