About this tournament
The 1st Annual MVP Circuit Challenge in the Thorns, sponsored by DFX Discs!
MVP Circuit Challenges are a fun way to test new molds and plastics as well as challenge yourself to think outside the box, and we are excited to bring one to CT at Panthorn Park!
The Challenge will be a 2 round event, the first limited to the 3 disc Player’s Pack and the second being open bag. As the Player's Pack does not include a putting putter, each player will be allowed to use their personal putter during Round 1 for Circle 1 PUTTS ONLY.
We will have prizes and CTPs throughout both rounds! Please include your usual division when you register, as prizes will be split up by division. For example, MA2/MA3 players will compete for a pool of prizes, FA2/FA3 will compete for a different pool, etc.
The discs in this year’s Player’s Pack discs are as follows:
• MVP Proton Servo, 6.5/5/-1/2: a workable, slightly overstable fairway driver ripe for shot shaping; compare to a beat-in Teebird, Stalker, or Explorer
• Streamline Electron Runway, 5/4.5/0/3.5: a dependable, overstable midrange with good sticking power; compare to a Roc3, BuzzzOS, or Verdict
• Axiom Neutron Tempo, 4/4/0/2.5: BRAND NEW MOLD! A low-profile overstable approach disc; compare to a Pig, Zone, or Harp
The well-loved Axiom Hex neutral midrange will be released for the first time in the Watermelon Proton colorway at the event. Add one when you register or pick one up the day of!
We will have an hour long break after the last card finishes Round 1 for lunch, then resume play for Round 2.
