14th Discontinuum Club Invitational
About this tournament
Only 2020 DISContinuum Disc Golf Club Members are invited to play in this event. If you are not a 2020 member of DISContinuum DGC you may purchase a membership and club tag for 2020 at a discounted price of $10 and you can play in the event. The money the club raises goes directly back into our disc golf community via course upgrade donations and tournament sponsorship donations. Please reach out to myself or Tom McManus about buying the membership before the event to let us know how/when you will be providing payment for the membership, you can also simply give us the payment during check-in the morning of the event.
There is no cost to participate in this event as a member of DISContinuum and the PDGA. This event is a thank you to all members that support DISContinuum DGC. 2020 has been a rough year for everyone and the club wasn't able to put on weekly leagues during the summer as we originally had planned, so thank you to everyone supporting the club in 2020. We hope in 2021 to be able to bring to you regularly scheduled tag weekly leagues.
For Non-PDGA members there will be a $10 fee to be able to participate in this event. Rather than having you pay for that online and incur processing fees you can pay this fee the morning of the event during check-in. I will be reaching out to anyone who registers that isn't a current PDGA member to ensure they are aware of this and confirm they will bring the $10 payment to event check-in.
Optional Ace Pot of $1 day of check-in.
There will be NO WALK UP REGISTRATION for this event. Please make sure to register before Friday the 18th at 10pm to secure your spot to play.
This will be a fairly laid-back event meant to be played for fun, PDGA ratings/points, club tag positions, and bragging rights. There will be no Pro or Am prizes, trophies will be awarded to the winner of each division. (Pros can play for cash amongst themselves on the side if they wish)
There will be at least 14 CTP discs up for grabs donated by DISContinuum DGC!!!
WE ARE IMPLEMENTING FULLY DIGITAL SCORING so please bring a charged phone as your group will be expected to perform the scoring via smart phone.
Layout will be dependent on weather and daylight. The tentative plan will be for the first round to play the 2020 Fairfield Glow layout (can be found listed on UDisc), and if that round is finished in 3hrs or less then we will play a 2nd round on the same layout. If the first round takes longer than 3hrs then we will play a 2nd round on the White layout. FA1 division might play 2 rounds on the white layout if there are at least 3 FA1 players registered.
Standard course OB rules will be in play. There will be no players meeting, an email will be sent out the week of the event with details of the layout and OB rules, as well as any other pertinent information.
