About this tournament
Come join Murder Mitten Disc Golf Club at our 12th Annual Hands to the Sun. This will be a B-Tier event for both Pros and Amateurs.
$750 added cash across all pro divisions. $100 added cash to the ace pool.
8 berths will be available to win for the 2024 Michigan Amateur State Championship in the following divisions. 2 berths for MA1, 2 berth for MA2, 1 berth for MA3, 1 berth for MA40, 1 berth each for the 2 largest FA divisions.
Trophies will be awarded to the winner in each division. A division must have at least 3 players to be awarded a trophy.
A divisions must have at least 3 players to compete. If a division does not have at least 3 players then the registered players will be moved into another division or be given a refund. This does not apply to all MJ and FJ divisions.
Disc Baron will be providing onsite payouts for all amateur divisions and will be vending all day Sunday. Even if your not playing be sure to come up and check out their stock.
All divisions will be playing 1 round of 18 holes each day with tee times. First group will tee off at 8:00am on both days.
MPO, MA1/2 will play the following layouts:
Round 1 - Long to Short
Round 2 - Long to Long
MA3/4, MA40/50, FPO will play the following layouts:
Round 1 - OG to Short
Round 2 - OG to Long
MJ12/15/18, FA1/2/3/4, FA40/50, FJ12/15/18 will play the following layouts:
Round 1 - Short to Short
Round 2 - Short to Long
If an ace is not hit during either round than there will be a CTP throw off for 80% of the total pot on Sunday.
All CTPs will take place during the first round on Saturday. There will be a CTP for each division and one for all divisions. Winners will be posted and prizes can be collected on Sunday.
Disc Baron is putting forward an Ace Bounty on hole 16 for both rounds. A player who aces this hole during the tournament will receive a $250 voucher to their store. The ace MUST be captured on video in order to win the bounty.
We will be having a raffle on Saturday during the first round. Tickets can be purchased onsite all day. Winners will be drawn after all players have completed their round on Saturday and posted. Prizes can be collected on Sunday during the second round. Raffle tickets are $3 each or $10 for 4.
All amateur players will be receiving a player pack for entry, player packs will include:
- 1 Custom stamped MVP disc
- 1 Mitten Bags knee pad
Costs for optional side bets are:
- Ace Pool - $5
- CTP - $5
- Ace Bounty - $2
