Aaron was my Cady. He rose up under one of the trees and hit his head on a knot that gashed his scalp. He went to the hospital, had a MRI and was released an hour later. Their prognosis was that he passed out from rapid blood loss under exertion, meaning he heated up. He is fine now, sore head, and laughes about it. He said he had a great time .

Ouch, sorry about that. I hit my head on a branch there last weekend. Glad it wasn't more serious.

I heard someone on course was injured on Sunday. I hope they ere not hurt bad and that they heal quickly.

Hey Everyone,

I'm a disc golfer from Oregon and I'm headed to the Monterey area for a vacation and to play in the Jelly Jam this weekend. I'll be playing Ryan Ranch this week on Weds and Thurs and would enjoy playing with a local. I played and walked the course a few years back when my daughter played Worlds. I'll play MA 60 this weekend and I'm a 911 rated golfer currently.

Locals post there for the times and meetups. We got a great group of players that are out all day.

Is the course cartable?

Jason Garrett   July 7, 2018 at 4:32am

Yes

kyle dangerfield   July 7, 2018 at 11:43pm

Yeah, I use my Zuca backpack cart there. There are like 3-4 holes there that it sucks to have a cart, but well worth it for the remaining holes.

Thanks folks

Is there a course map available for the tournament layout? I've only played Ryan Ranch once and was hoping to be as prepared as possible.

Hey Everyone, this will be my first time playing the Jelly Jam and I'm not sure i understand how the tournament rounds are being played...Is it two 30-hole rounds; one played on Saturday and one Sunday? Or....?

Thanks Jason. I actually played the course before worlds; my daughter played worlds that year. I dont remember there being 30 holes; just an 18 hole course the way I remember it. So 30 straight holes in one round...no break; no lunch, etc...I havent played that tournament format before.

Jason Garrett   June 1, 2018 at 6:25pm

During worlds the course was 27 holes. We've split up a couple into two holes to make it 30. There are no breaks during the round. We'll get started promptly and we'll do our best to keep players hydrated and nourished during the round. It is certainly a long round of golf.

Thanks again Jason for the explanation. I'd forgotten that the course was 27 holes for worlds. Looking forward to it!

Am players pack?

Jason Garrett   May 22, 2018 at 6:29pm

Yes, well have a sweet player's pack for Am's. We're still negotiating the exact contents.

Jeremy Mirken   May 24, 2018 at 5:35am

Thanks Jason, for your hard work in organizing.

I think there is another issue now. Someone signed up named "Tyler McBrian". Who is supposed to help run this thing if he gets to be out playing in the tournament? I for one, am deeply concerned.

Hi, I don't see a Pro Masters 60+ division. Any chance it will be added?

We will create a division when at least 4 players are interested in competing.

Kevin Morse   May 10, 2018 at 5:23pm

Jason Garrett   May 21, 2018 at 5:31pm
