USDGC Doubles Qualifier at Gatewood

This is a Doubles Qualifier at Gatewood Park for qualification for the USDGC Doubles Championship Tournament in Rock Hill, South Carolina, September 29th-October 1st.

This will be a shotgun start event with two (2) rounds of BYOP Best Shot Doubles.

Each player will receive:
Choice of a USDGC Stamped Innova Disc
Trophy medals will be awarded to the teams that qualify!

Included in the registration fee we will also have a $100 Ace Pot. If no ace is hit, the Ace Pot will go to the team(s) with the fewest bogeys during the event.

There is also an OPTIONAL five (5) CTPs that you can include with your registration if desired. CTPs will only be in play during Round 1.

Pros are allowed to play in this event, but are not eligible to qualify for the main event.

The number of teams that can qualify for the USDGC Doubles Main Event is based on the number of teams that participate in the qualifier. The thresholds are as follows.

Men
· 1-14 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
· 15-24 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
· 25+ Teams = 3 Teams qualify
Women
· 1-4 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
· 5-9 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
· 10+ Teams – 3 Teams qualify

VERY IMPORTANT – 2023 qualifiers will again feature the "Win and You're In" registration process. Again for this year's main event for both men's and women's divisions, if you win your regional qualifier you will be able to sign up for the Main Event immediately. Second and third place teams where applicable for qualifying events will be able to register at a later date once general registration opens for qualified players.

All players must meet one of the following criteria in order to be eligible to compete in the USDGC Doubles Main event:

-Player is not a PDGA member or does not have a player rating and has never accepted cash in a PDGA event.

-Player has an Amateur Player Classification with the PDGA - meaning the player is classified as an amateur and plays in amateur divisions for prizes instead of cash. If a player plays in a Pro division and accepts cash at any time, they become classified as a Professional member. An Amateur class player has either never accepted cash, or if they have, they have later met the criteria to be reclassified from Professional back to Amateur with the PDGA.

A mixed group of pro and am class players is not allowed.

Players who qualify as a team must play together as a team in the main event. No substitutions, no exceptions.
