Welcome to McLouth Disc Golf Tournament sponsored by Innova Discs
This email should provide you all of the information you will need for the upcoming tournament
Attached, you will find a map of the course and OB rules. I will have a limited supply at check in so recommend you keep them available on your phone or print them for references.
COVID - Please be considerate of others regardless of how you feel about COVID-19. Give people around you space. Do not crowd the TD – Rob, or any volunteers. Don’t pick up other player’s equipment. Hand sanitizer will be available at TD central. PLEASE use it before going through the vending merchandise.
Check in is from 8:00 until 8:50. There will not be a player meeting, therefore plan on being on your assigned hole at tee time of 9:00.
All players are required to check in so that we know you are present. For this tournament, all players, Pro and Amateur will receive some form of a Player Pack.
Double G Craft Beef Jerky - For all players. Four flavors are available.
Tournament stamped disc - For all amateur players. List of the discs is at the bottom of this email.
Innova towel - For all Recreational and Junior players.
Restrooms - There will be two portable restrooms near tournament central. In years past the restrooms over by the football field have also be open. At the time of this writing I have not confirmed yet if they will be.
Water - Please bring plenty of water for yourself. I intend to bring a water jug, but you should be prepared in case it is not available.
Hole assignments will be found on the PDGA event page sometime after registration has closed, likely around 5pm Friday.

SCORING: We will be utilizing the PDGA online digital scoring application. It is not an app you have to download, rather you use it directly from their website at pdga.com/score. The access code is ‘owl’. I will also have paper scorecards for you to use as a backup, but the official score is the online digital scoring.
- When you are done with your round, you need to ‘Finalize’ your score. This is not the same as just putting in your score for the last hole. You will get to a screen that lists each player with a Red X next to your name. After the whole card has reviewed your scores comparing them to the paper backup and confirmed if the score is correct, you need to tap on the player’s name and enter their PDGA number if they have one, or enter their last name. Once you have done this, your score has officially been submitted and cannot be altered with the exception of any penalties levied by a TD. If you have played a provisional on any hole, do not confirm the score until after you have discussed the scenario with the TD.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A NO-SHOW OR LATE PLAYER: If a player has missed their turn to tee off, they get Par + 4 for each hole they missed (7 on Par 3, 8 on Par 4). If they show up when the card is halfway done with a hole, they have missed that hole and can start on the next hole. If a player does not show up for the entire event, keep giving them Par+4 for each hole (don’t try to remove them) and inform the TD on duty so we can then remove them from the system. If you cannot make it, please let me know as soon as possible before tee time. If you no-call, no-show you will forfeit your player pack. If you at least let me know you are not coming, you won’t receive a refund but I will mail you the player pack.
LUNCH
Lunch break is one hour from when the last card for round one is done. You will likely NOT start on the same hole so please check with the TD or the PDGA event page to find your starting hole for round two.
The Boy Scouts will be vending a lunch for us. $6 BBQ sandwich, chips, water or soft drink. They will also have some baked goods and coffee.
—-If you are not returning for round two, it is imperative that you tell the TD you are not returning as this affects how hole assignments will be done.
Bonus Per Round Prizes
Round One - This is per division. A Hot Round Mini for the person that has the best score for the whole division. While a mini is not necessarily that valuable, the only way you can get one of these is by having the Hot Round which is pretty cool.
Round Two - This is per card. Each winner of the round two card will win an Innova towel. If there is a tie, the tie breaker is determined by the first person to birdie or better a hole from the starting hole for that round.
Payouts and Awards. There is a first place trophy for each division with Recreational having a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy.
Per PDGA rules, a play off is required for all first place ties if they occur. Play must start at Hole 1.
Pros will pay the top 40%. Payment will be either PayPal or check depending on what you chose during registration.
Advanced & Intermediate Divisions will have additional payouts for performance in form of merchandise credit. The payout can be redeemed from merchandise at the tournament (preferred) or via maverickdiscgolf.com. If you use the website, it will charge you tax and shipping on the full price before the voucher.
Recreational & Junior Divisions are ‘True Amateur’ divisions. No additional payouts, hence the lower cost of entry and the bonus player pack item.
ACE Fund - For the ace (hole in one) fund we will have an Innova medium-grade basket (MSRP $200), an Innova Factory Second H20 Superhero Bag (MSRP $70) and a Maverick merchandise voucher. The voucher amount will depend on final pay-in to the ace fund, but at time of writing would be at least $30. If one ace, that person gets their choice. If two or three are hit, those players will throw off for first choice. If no aces are hit, or there are prizes left over, those that paid into the fund will play a throw off after the last card has come in and while I’m computing the results. Either way, all three items will be given away.
If you haven’t paid into the ace fund, please consider doing so. It helps to pay for tournament expenses. You can pay during check in if you still want to get in on it.
If you are in a playoff, there is a possibility that you may miss the ACE fund throw off.
