It’s the 8th Installment of the Maricopa Open. Day 1, A Pool will play 18 holes at Copper Sky (est. 2018). B Pool will play 27 holes at Maricopa Meadows (Maricopa’s First Disc Golf Venue). Tee Time Start. Day 2, A Pool will play 27 holes at Maricopa Meadows and B Pool will play 18 holes at Copper Sky. Tee Time Start, NO CUT. In addition, Terry Miller, aka The Disc Golf Guy, (Yes it’s him) will be back rolling video so everyone can bask in the beauty of Maricopa, while watching some great Disc Golf. Registration opens up November 20th at 7:00 PM MST. MAX capacity set to 260, sign up quick because you don’t miss this event!!! See you all in January!!!

COVID-19 Safeguards
Your safety is our safety. For the most part, we will follow PDGA guidance on COVID-19 safety (https://www.pdga.com/pdga-documents/tour-documents/requirements-and-best-practices-pdga-sanctioned-play-during-covid-19).
We will follow all local city, state, and county rules related to COVID-19.
All players will be required to follow these guidelines. Facemasks must be worn at all times during the following: check-in, awards ceremonies, and when a 6-foot distance cannot be maintained. Please do not touch other players discs or equipment.
Any player who is sick and exhibits COVID-19 related symptoms will not be allowed to play. Player temperatures will be collected prior to teeing off.
All players will be required to acknowledge and agree that they have read the following liability waiver from PDGA.
This is a PDGA Liability Waiver requirement.
“I understand that participation in this event carries with it risk of injury or death and I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns expressly release, forever discharge, and hold harmless 2021 Maricopa Open, Sam Russ or Chuck Russ, Eric Schmidt, City of Maricopa, Maricopa Meadows HOA, Copper Sky DGC, and the PDGA (the "Releasees") for all personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death in connection with my participation in this event. Further, I understand and acknowledge that there currently exists a global pandemic associated with the disease COVID-19, that I am participating in this event at my own risk, that any safety precautions designed to protect against the spread of COVID-19 undertaken by the Releasees does not guarantee I will not contract COVID-19, and that, the foregoing notwithstanding, it is my specific intent to affirm my foregoing release of the Releasees with respect to any personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death I may experience from COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event.”
Caddies and Spectators
Caddies and spectators will NOT be allowed. We will consider Caddy exceptions for reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Sam Russ ([email redacted]) if you think you need such an accommodation.
Withdrawals and Refunds
Given circumstances with COVID-19, we will relax the PDGA guidance provided in 1.03 of the Competition Manual. We will refund any player who withdraws prior to noon (MST) on Tuesday January 19th 2021. AMs who drop after noon on January 19th 2021 will get a player’s pack unless their spot is filled by somebody on the waitlist in which case, they will get a full refund minus transaction fees. PROs who drop after noon on January 19th 2021 will receive 25% of their entry fee unless their spot is filled in which case, they will get a full refund minus transaction fees.
If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 or other local, state, or federal requirements, $10 of each registration will not be refunded to cover event set-up costs.
