About this tournament
2 rounds of play
The Flora Rotary Club is proud to sponsor their 5th Annual Open tournament. This year's tournament will be hosted by the Chuckin' Aces Disc Golf Club and sponsored by Discmania and Gateway Disc Sports!
There will be something for everyone at the event this year!
The amateur players pack consists of 2 discs. Players will get the Gateway Chief OS in glow plastic and then your choice of a Discmania Active Premium Mentor with a Rotary bottom stamp or a Discmania Lore Controller P2 putter.
For players who already have their bag filled out and just want a challenge, MA2 and higher divisions will be playing from Blue Tees for the first time since the course was re-designed and lengthened in 2021! The layout will be over 8,000 feet for those players and should be a fun challenge.
Don't let that scare everyone else though. All other divisions will play from White Tees and will even have some shorter pin locations. We're endeavoring to balance the event so that, no matter your skill level, you'll find a few challenges and a whole lot of fun!
ADDED CASH TO PAYOUTS!
Not only will AM divisions get a Players Pack, thanks to the Flora Tourism Committee, there will be cash added to the payouts. The added cash is based on the number of players, so the more registrations, the bigger the payouts will be! The top 45% of amateur divisions will be paid. Payout to be handled on-site by Disc and Dat of Albion and Gateway Disc Sports.
After the tournament winners have been announced and payouts disbursed, Flora Bank & Trust is sponsoring a $50 ace challenge. There will be an approximately 280 foot (huge downhill) temporary hole set up by the Flora Pool. $1 (cash only) will give you 1 shot at the ace and the win! Half of all entry fees will go into the pot, so the more you try, the more you may win. The other half of the entry fees will go to the Chuckin' Aces Disc Golf Club to support their efforts to bring disc golf to local schools. The last time we did this, the ace was hit in less than 40 tries!
Keep an eye on this tournament page. We will continue to update this as we confirm vendors and other activities!
