Good evening.
I wanted to get this tournament email out this evening. Cheryl and I are super excited about the upcoming Crossover Fall Fling Series that concludes this weekend with #4 at Millikin on 12/10. This will be a 1 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 10a.
The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or
comments before the event. I will be the TD for the event and not playing. Please text at: 513-225-6022 with questions or issues in regards to the tournament.
We are playing the original 18 holes and adding 2 temp holes. It should be a fun and challenging day for everyone. The course always flows well.
As far as the course particulars, we are playing a pretty friendly layout. Here's the layouts.
OB/Course Particulars -
OB On/over any path or over any fence on holes: 1, 2, 3, 8 (road...not small concrete area by the basket), 10 (long by road), 11 (right)
OB past the posts left on holes: 17 and 18
We play 2 as an island with re-tee as missed. The island is inside the walking trail, the fence to the left, and the road/path long.
All of this is in PDGA Live.
The schedule will look like this for the day:
9-950p player check in by hole 1 basket in the shelter
10a - Shotgun Start
@1230-1p Awards/Payouts
I can't stress enough, please take the short amount of time to physically check in with us at the shelter. This helps us make sure that everyone is here, and there are no holes with less than 3 players. It might not seem like a big deal to you, but it causes us issues trying to figure out if you are present or not. Please, please, please, just stop by and check in with us. Thank you in advance for this!
Cards will be made up primarily of 4, but we will need to group a few of 5 due to numbers in divisions. We will keep the pace of play in mind as we construct cards.
There are a few AM's signed up in the Open divisions. Which is perfectly fine, and the growing trend at events all over. Remember, that if you "cash", if you want to keep your AM status, please let us know and we will give you the equivalent in Crossover Cash. If not, and you accept cash, then the PDGA will automatically reclassify you as professional on Monday.
Also, just a reminder, that any junior younger than 13 must have a parent/guardian on their card. There are many juniors now signing up in non-junior divisions, so we don't always catch this beforehand. Please advise and follow the PDGA guidelines on junior players.
We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments for round 1 will be posted on the PDGA page by 8p Saturday evening. You can find them here:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/62015
The points winner for the series in each division will win a bonus bag tag. Those standings are found here:

For the flow of the day, the order of the holes will be on the physical scorecard and in PDGA Live. The access code is: fallfling
If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 3p Friday.
Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. The Open players will receive cash/PayPal, and the AM's Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand.
For those who are in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit, we will do a throw off. The winner of the throw off will win the whole ace fund. We've had 6 players this year hit an ACE in our events that were not in the ACE fund.
In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, they playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner, playing the layout from round 1.
This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.
It's going to be a great day. Please contact us with any questions you may have!
We will see you this weekend.
Thanks,
Josh and Cheryl
