About this tournament

Welcome to the 2018 Cinco de Mayo Meltdown at Shining Mountain Golf Course in beautiful Woodland Park, CO. This will be the fifth (cinco) installment of Cinco and takes place on 5/5-5/6. Cinco! Cinco! on Cinco! Cinco! Sponsors include Discraft and Throw Colorado. The already amazing Beast course that we all know and love will now be joined by the wooded Serenity Pines course to make for the perfect mix of long bombs and tight fairways! It will be a PDGA sanctioned b-tier again this year and carts will be used for the beast course (weather permitting) with at least $500 in added cash for the pros and at least 100% event value for the ams . Also new this year will be on-site camping included in your registration!
Ams and Pros will play 2 rounds sat and 1 round sunday. Pros will play the Beast twice and Serenity Pines once. Ams will play Serenity Pines twice and the Beast once.
Pros will receive cash (paypal) payouts and trophies. Amatuer divisions will receive players packs and trophies.
Optional Ace Pool entry of $2 per player will be collected in cash for Random Draw Doubles on Friday and the sanctioned event can be paid with registration or in cash at check-in. If no ace is hit during Random Draw Doubles or the sanctioned event a CTP contest will be held.
Random Draw Doubles registration will be done at check in on Friday 5/4. Registration for Random Draw Doubles the day of MUST be in cash ($10 per player). Payout will be 50% of the pot to the top teams. The other 50% will be donated to the Colorado State Championships taking place at Shining Mountain at the end of August.
Event round cancellations or suspensions, as well as player withdrawals and refunds will be handled according to PDGA guidelines in the Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events Sections 1.3 and 1.7 for all Sanctioned Events.
