Players,
2022 NADGT Exclusive @ Bell Parkis tomorrow!
Schedule:
Check-in: 7:45-8:45am - ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN THE DAY OF THE EVENT!
Round 1: 9:00 start (shotgun)
Lunch: on your own
Round 2: one hour after the conclusion of Round 1
Ace Pot Throwoff (If Necessary): immediately after the conclusion of Round 2
Starting Hole Assignments: Starting hole assignments are posted to the PDGA event page, which can be found at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/55821. Starting assignments may change slightly if there are any last-minute signups, so make sure to double-check on the morning of the event.
PARKING (see attached map): There will be multiple events at Bell Park this Saturday, so parking will be tight. Due to a pickleball tournament, the first small lot by Hole 1’s teepad will not be available. Due to a wedding, NO ONE is allowed to park in the main parking area by the pavilion. Our main parking area and Tournament Central will be near the amphitheater by the soccer fields. If that lot fills up, there is additional parking available at the top of the park. Any disc golfer who parks in the main parking lot reserved for the wedding will be towed at the owner’s expense. Make sure not to park along the road near holes 9 and 10 as you will be blocking the line of play.
Weather: With today’s snow, it may be necessary to implement Snow Play tomorrow. Check with the TDs at check-in for the final decision on that. Huge thanks to John Moose, Matt Ludwig, Justin Knuckles, and any other WAFDA crew who helped de-ice and clear teepads!
Water: Players are encouraged to provide their own water for the event, but WAFDA will be providing some coolers with water for refilling.
Dress Code: PDGA Dress Code
Directions to the Course: Bell Park, Bell Park Road, Greenwood, AR
OB Sheets will be available digitally, but printed copies will be available for each card. They are attached to this email and are loaded into the PDGA digital scorecard. Drop Zones will be indicated by flags and NADGT signs on holes 1, 6, 9, and 12.
Scoring: We will use PDGA Live Scoring for the tournament. pdga.com/score The password is bell. EVERY CARD MUST KEEP A DIGITAL SCORECARD! DON'T FORGET TO FINALIZE YOUR SCORE ONCE THE ROUND IS OVER! (Rule 808.F) Each card must keep two scorecards, preferably both on PDGA Live Scoring. Paper scorecards will be available, but UDisc also works as a good backup.
Playoffs: In the event that multiple players tie for first place in a division, the players will need to play off to determine a winner. Players will play sudden-death stroke play on a loop of Holes 14, 5, 6, 12, and 13. Ties for second place or below will not require a playoff.
Awards: Payout will be earned by the top 25% of each division. Division winners will receive a Trophy Pin - Provided by Disc Golf Pins. Winners will also earn an invitation to the 2022 National Championships in Austin Texas, October 26th-October 29th. Invitations will be extended based on the number of competitors in each qualifying division:
5-10: 1 invite
11-20: 2 invites
21-30: 3 invites
31-40: 4 invites
41+: 5 invites
Winners of any division with 12 or more players will earn free entry into the Arkansas NADGT State Championships on July 30-31st at JB Hunt Park in Springdale, AR!
Let us know if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing everyone on the course! Make sure to join the Facebook event page for pictures of the tournament, updates, and more!
