The Texas Amateur Series is designed to allow players from across the state to compete for sponsorships and one of the largest amateur payouts in disc golf history. To accomplish this, Goose Promotions will work with TDs in the areas with the largest concentrations of golfers; Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Tyler, and Lubbock/West Texas to create qualifying events.
Each region will host between 1 and 6 events between January and August 2024. The finale will take place in Austin from September 21-22, 2024. Each singles qualifying event will be a one-day, two-round, shotgun start C-Tier with a maximum capacity of 90 players. Each doubles qualifying event will be a one-day, two-round, shotgun start XC-Tier with a maximum capacity of 144 players
The top 25% of each division plus ties (one player per division needed) will qualify for the series finale. The series finale will host 300 players and will take place at Sprinkle Valley DGC and the MetCenter DGC. Players will receive a player pack that is worth a minimum $100. $5/player from every qualifying event will be added into payout for the finale for a minimum of $5,000. $5,000 is a minimum, if more than $5,000 is collected from the qualifying events then that amount will become the added merchandise. Payout will be on-site to a variety of vendors.
