This being my local course, I've got a soft spot for it. The front nine is very open and a couple holes really give you a chance to let it rip. Approximately 4 of the holes on the front nine are right on the river and if you don't play your shot right, you could end up losing a disc to the water. Not impossible to wade into, but it gets a little deep in some spots.

Approximately 4 of the holes on the front nine are right on the river and if you don't play your shot right, you could end up losing a disc to the water. Not impossible to wade into, but it gets a little deep in some spots.
The back nine is a little more varied in the holes. 10 had a large power pole that you need to navigate around as well as put it up to the basket that is half way up a steep hill. (This basket comes down in the winter since this is a sledding spot for kids) 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 are wooded holes. 12 is my personal favorite as it throws from high on a hill in the woods and has to cross a long fairway to a basket tucked in a corner to the right. It kind of overlooks some of the river. Nice hole. 16 through 18 are back out in the open with 17 being along the river through a tunnel of trees.
The park folks are working on adding some things to better the course. There are many young trees around the course that should definitely add some difficulty and change your shot choice as time goes on. There is a need for some tee pads or some wood chips on the wooded shots. Especially 12. This winter/spring, that tee area kind of became a bit of a mess
This course may not be as challenging as some of the more wooded courses, but the design makes use of the area that they had in the park.
