A very nice addition to this wonderful park. The city came through and really made it nice with great tee signs and cement tee pads. Chainstar Pro baskets are the best in the business. Just needs some benches or picnic tables on a few tees, like 3, 5 and 9. Then it would be an A+, but I'm bias. Second set of tees are in the works and coming soon.

Offers a challenge on every hole, love the layout! Best teepad, signage, garbage can and bench almost on every hole! Fantastic.
Lakewood Park › May 25, 2022
Much needed disc golf course in a great area. Hop over the bridge from Detroit and head north through Windsor on the Water front road and you'll get to Lakewood in 15/20 minutes. Great beginner course with amazing baskets and practice area. The holes are short but well thought out. A couple bomber holes, built on a defunct Golf Course. Makes a day trip to Windsor so much more enjoyable!
Spindler Park › January 6, 2023
A much needed breath of fresh air on the east side of Detroit. Elevation changes, hillside greens, protected fairways, island green, and blind tee shots, all in an amazing public park. Air-Conditioned halfway house/clubhouse with fresh water and bathrooms. Oh the Possibilities, this will be a mainstay to the locals young and old and travelers alike, come on out and shoot on the brand new Candy Apple Red DISCRAFT CHAINSTAR PROS. Get Out and Throw. Par is 72 with 24 tee pads on 12 basket locations.

I really enjoy the golf course feel of this place. I can envision the clubhouse being open one day with a full bar and proshop. This place would be a destination if that were the case. Also I can see this being a great place for tournament play, witht the 18th green having a nice place for spectators to enjoy the winners final putt. Great job guys!

There are a lot of things going well for this course. The baskets are great, the holes are interesting and the course is very tough. The negatives are mainly the tee pads. I hope there is a plan to put in concrete pads, at least for the long pads. Once that happens this course will be in my favorite category for life.
Oakwood Lake Park › Dogmans Den › July 26, 2022
This place is really cool. If you can throw accurate shots to where you want to throw them then you'll shoot par. Also you'll have to make some big putts. Very technical. Last hole is a doozey.
Kensington Metropark - Toboggan Course › Toboggan Course › June 2, 2016
Now i know what I'm dealing with. Come here prepared to the teeth. As much water as you can carry (colder the better.) Plenty of energy giving snacks to keep yourself motivated and pumped. A goto Understable fairway driver and driver is a must for the uphill shots. Keep your drives in the fairway and your approaches sound and you'll do alright.
Seymour Lake Park › May 10, 2016
I really can't see a way to improve this course. It has it all, just maybe getting dated now that it's 15 years old. For first time players I recommend either playing a practice round, walking the course or playing with someone with knows the basket locations well. I would say almost half the tee shots are blind to the basket, which makes for a frustrating first round. This is quite a park and paired with the 20 min drive to Addison Oaks, it makes for a shining area for the disc golf world to visit.

Very busy course, 3 dollar pay to play on weekends and 2/ weekday. The course is very challenging but I can see with more play it would get easier as you learn placement. The rubber tee mats are cool. Really appreciated the pond with tons of ducks. Keep your eyes peeled and stay aware because tee pads are placed very close to baskets. Enjoy one of disc golfs first ever permanent courses!

It's good to see this course finding its way in the new layout of the LTU campus. It will be nice to see everything grow in over the next few seasons. Hopefully soon it will be easier to get from hole 5 to hole 6.

I really love this course, the layout takes you on a journey, I couldn't tell you west from east in the thick of it and I liked it.

Very fun place to play, all the old sand traps are grown in but are considered O.B. That makes for a very interesting layout where you have to focus on placing your drive. Very nice basket placement as well. The 13th hole....
Rolling Hills County Park › Rolling Hills › May 23, 2015
Upon further review....This course has teeth, it might take a few round for them to show but they will. Quite a round of golf, you will think a lot about your form here. If your drives are awry, then you better hope your upshots are up to par. Have fun out here in a very beautiful county park, which is a model for all county parks.

No complaints, very tough, but the opportunities are plenty as well. Grip it and rip it!
Katherine Legge Memorial Park › December 15, 2014
I can't see anyway of improving this course. Except better teeboxes for red and blue tees.
Starr-Jaycee Park › January 29, 2024
This place is better than your average golf course. The trees are really in play throughout the entire course and the two tee boxes per hole make this place very cool. Each tee box gives the hole a new feel. Lets keep this place clean people, i dont mean to sound preachy but i picked up a full cvs bags worth one time around. Do your part and keep this place clean so disc golfer look good in the big picture.
Mary Beth Doyle Park › October 10, 2014
Blind tee shots are not my cup of tea. I really like all the tees, it makes the course very versitile. Never thought I'd say, damn you wildlife!, lol. Have fun on this challenging fun course set inside a townhouse subdivision.
Wagner Park › March 27, 2024
With the new basket upgrades, tee pad reinforcement/additions and actual practice basket the course is an A. It's a city park and the history here is incredible. The course has a certain magic to it, and it's nice to see the city recognized that and invested in it.
Brys Park › October 7, 2014
If it wasn't for the walkers this place would be perfect for tuning up your game.
Belle Isle DGC › October 7, 2014
Will Change my grade from an a- to an a+ once the concrete tees are in. This place has sentimental value, 10 years ago I would play the nine hole golf course every chance I got. It was always a dream of mine to resurrect this place for ball golf. Now that I gave up ball golf for disc golf this course is a dream come true.
