Played Wilton for the first time yesterday. The course is very easy to find. As you drive up School Road a small kiosk is on the left and the teepad for hole# 1 is right behind it. The parking lot is about 300 feet further up the road. The course plays very short and is extremely wooded. It looks like holes 1-8 are the original course and 9-18 have recently been added. The parking lot is about 300 feet further up the road. The course plays very short and is extremely wooded. It looks like holes 1-8 are the original course and 9-18 have recently been added.



Fairways are laid out decently but a good number of trees still need to be cleared.



Overall we really liked it ....even though it is built on a hilly area it is very easy to walk. Loved Hole #4? The one that play down the left of the track? Very nice design.



Will definitely support this course and play here again. BTW...I did not see a money tube or any other way to donate....

Okay...first the good stuff. All 18 holes have DiscCatcher baskets and the holes are much better marked than previously.....the only confusion is where Basket 3 and Tee 13 meet up.....it's a little difficult finding Tee 4 the first time you play here. (Walk about 200 feet UP the road and you will find Tee 4 on the left.) Tee boxes are....well......pathetic. Boxes are merely a spot shaped by logs. Roots and small stumps are common in tee areas. Tee boxes are....well......pathetic. Boxes are merely a spot shaped by logs. Roots and small stumps are common in tee areas. There is A LOT of thick vegetation just off the very narrow fairways making hunting for errant shots a chore.

Parking sucks and is generally taken up by an ambulance fleet. (Parking is actually locked during the winter. You need to park at the church across the street.) When I have a choice I would rather play Devens.
