“First round in a long time. Felt good to get out again and play with friends.”

“1st full round of 2012. My best shot was my 2nd on Hole 17. Curved it around the one spaghetti tree and it banged off the center of the metal basket. It didn't go in for birdie but was by far my best shot of the year! Good Stuff!”

“Played with Jake, John & Jen. Taco on #1, Pulled Drive on 2 & 10. Missed 15-20 footers on 16 & 17 missed a 25 footer on 18. Made a 30 footer for birdie on 12!”

“Bad Drives on 7 & 18. Bad 2nd shot on 13 (OB). Birdie on 12! Hit the chains for birdie on 15 but didn't stay in. A lot of throws went left today and what didn't go left went right. All in all not too bad though. Temp was really HOT!!”

“Made a par putt on 15 from the bottom of the steps!! Then proceeded to drive OB on 6 missed easy putts on 8,10,11,12 and 18. Made a 25 footer for birdie on 15. Threw it very well today.”

“Missed 20 footers for par on 7&8. Bad drive on 3. Bad 2nd shot on 5. Made a 15 footer on 18 for par. My personal best so far. Surge Max Dist Driver easily cleared tree on 18!”

“Played with Jake, John and Jen. Lots of fun and great weather. Had a 4 footer for birdie on 12. Made a lot of great par saves today on holes 3,8,10,14 and 17. All the other pars were tap in range. Bad second shots on 5 and 11 and a drive in the woods on 18 all of which resulted in double bogey. Matched my all-time low score. Blood was pumping on the 18th tee with the prospect of breaking 60 for the first time, which may have contributed to me driving it into the woods.”

“Almost aced the 12the hole. Reach-a-round birdie! Nailed a 40 foot birdie on hole 1 and hit a 10 footer for bird on 14! Bad second shot on holes 2 and 18 caused doubles and another bad drive in the trees to the right on hole seven caused that double! Played very well overall!”

“Finished in the TOP spot this week. To bad there were only 2 players there. Oh well, a win is a win! Crappy drives on 7 and 9 caused the doubles and a missed 10 footer for par from under the trees on 11 were the big hiccups! Although it was a good round for me overall!”

“Solo Round. Hammered a 30 foot Birdie putt on Hole 13! 1st ever Birdie on that hole! 6 straight pars to open up front nine. Missed 20 footers on 7 and 8 for par. Lots of wind today. Tough driving on Hole 11 resulted in a double. Poor drives on 17 and 18 resulted in doubles as well. Missed bogey putts from 15-20 feet on all three holes.”

“Played with Jake, Ty and Ty's friends Steve and John. Bad bogey run on front 9. Solid Back 9 except I drove it in the woods on 18 and took 2 shots to get out then missed a 10 footer for double.”

“Back from a 3 week frolfin hiatus. I played pretty good. A reach-around par on hole 7 was awesome and a great second shot (from my usual spot) on hole 8 left me a 10 footer for par. Another great second shot with the 2010 Ace Race disc gave me a reach-around par on hole 17. The only other great shot I had was a recover shot from the woods on hole 12 for another reach-around Par. Consistent drives kept me in play the whole round with the exception of a crappy 50 foot drive into the woods on 14 of which I also a missed a 25 footer for bogey. Finished under the cover of darkness! Played 1-18 in order.”

“Pared Hole 8 for the 1st Time Ever!!!!!!!! Woooo Hooooo!!!!!!!!!! 18 is the only hole left that I have yet to par! Crappy 50 foot drive on 14 resulted in a double. Hornets nest on 11 resulted in a double as well. Solid Round Overall.”

“Just Jake and myself played today because of the expected rain tomorrow. Didn't drive particularly well but managed to not give too many away at the basket. Hammered a 50+ footer for bird on 12!!!! Had a chance to par 7 today. Needed a 20 foot hyzer around the big tree to right of the basket. Also, I had no chance on 8 or 18. Clearly my nemesis holes!! Even though it didn’t feel like it was a solid round. Jake shot a 60 today and continues to play well.”

“Second round of the day! Best score so far! Backhand really coming around. Most drives had good distance. Hacked up hole 3. Think I hit every tree on that hole which is some kind of accomplishment! Pared hole 7 for the first time ever! That has been one tough hole for me. Two great shots (XL drive, Wildcat approach) to within 15 feet and made the putt. Missed a 20 foot putt for par on 8. Drove in the trees on 9 but nailed a 20 foot putt for par. Drove the trees on 10 and hammered a 30 foot putt for par. Banged the top metal on 12 and bottom metal on 15 on my birdie attempts. Missed a 20 footer for par on hole 17 and 30 footer for par on hole 18 (bounced of chains). Threw another great drive on 18 (270 feet). Landed in almost the same spot as round 1 eariler today. The two holes I've yet to par are hole 8 & 18. Almost got both today! Stoked about the backhand!! Can't wait to play again!!!!!!!”

“First round of the day. Played all shots backhand. Only played from the trees on hole 4 & hole 16. Struggled with distance on front 9. Nice long drives on hole 11 (250 feet approx.) and hole18 (270 feet approx.) New low score. Felt good so I played a second round!”

“Played with Jake and Rich who both kicked my butt with 61's! I think I'm finally seeing the benefit to the backhand drive! Its not as long as the forehand flick but is much more accurate. Although a crappy backhand drive on #7 did result in a triple bogey 6, most leave me in a much better place to take a decent approach shot and should result in a lot more pars over all. Played holes 14-18 then 6-13 then 1-5. So 18, then 6,7,8 was a tough 4 hole stretch. Finishing off with a double on hole 5 resulted in a 38 on the front 9. A 30 on the back 9 was my all time low for 9 holes. Round was very bitter and a little sweet!”

“Solo round at dusk. Tied low score. Almost birdied #9 but approach was rejected. Back hand drives on 6,7,8,9,10,14 and 15 all proved to be the way to go. Backhand drive on 18 is probably not the way to go. Round could have been really low but I missed 7 par putts within 20 feet on 1,2,3,4,5,8 and 13.”

“2nd round of the day. Lots of fun! Gf met me on Hole 5. Great day to spend with her. Birdied Hole 12 for 2nd career bird. Cool to birdie for her since she always asks if I got a birdie. ESP Driver is the disc for a backhand drive on 9 and 10 and possibly 14. Even though on hole 9 I held on to the drive and slung it to the other side of 10 and had to take a drop. ESP flies straight as an arrow! Still learning!”

“The first of 2 rounds today. Perfect weather! Stationary forehand flick on #3 is the key to getting a good drive to go around the trees. Back hand drives on 6, 9, 10 and 15 are key to keeping it in play. May try it on 14 as well. Holes 7 & 18 are still kicking my butt!”

“Solo round. New low score. Drove it ok. A lot of good approach shots. Nothing really spectacular. Almost got lucky bouncing an approach shot into the basket on hole 4 after a horrible drive (from the trees on 7) . Easily left 3 shots out there on holes 10, 11 and 14 due to aggressive putting. Need to remember that tapping in for par (or bogey after a bad drive) is ok. I don't always have to go for the chains on tough baskets (like 11 and 14). A really bad approach on 8 cost me another shot. Played 10 & 11 last. Skipped due to slow play. All and all a good solid round for me. I'm getting better for sure. Can't wait to play again!”

“Rain Soaked!!! Banged the Chains on 15 for Birdie! Bad luck though because it shot through and landed on the ground on the other side. My shot of the day was the approach shot on 17. Metaled the top of the basket with my 2010 Ace Race Disc from 125 feet approx. Fun round even though the weather sucked!”

“Got my 1st Birdie!!!!!!! Aggressive putting killed my score on this the 2nd round of the day. I threw better than I ever had before. Birdie attempts on holes 2, 4, 6, 14 turned into bogies. Aggressive par putts on holes 9, 11, 16 turned into double bogies! An aggressive bogey flick from behind a huge tree beside the 7th basket resulted in a missed 20 foot double bogey attempt. Almost all drives flew true with lots of spin. Only had bad drives on Holes 5, 7, 9 and 16. Though the score didn't show it, this was a breakthrough round and hopefully I can build on the things I learned today and there will be more birdies to come!!!!!”

“Rough front nine. No real good drives but made some adjustments to approach putts on hole 8. The Adj. really flattened the flight path on putts from 30 to 50 feet. Hammered a 30 footer for par on hole 9. Flick really came around on back nine, good spin. Hole high on 11. Past the basket on 12 &14. Clanked a bunch of birdie attempts. Hammered a 35 footer for bogey on 18 that went through the chains for a double bogey. It barely popped out the back. The putt was good and hammered the chains in the middle, it was just bad luck. I felt like I was playing well enough to get that 1st birdie so I played a second round.”

“2nd Round of the Fall Shawktacular!!!!! Rough front nine (40) Nice back Nine (31). I'll take that back nine everyday! Had a chance to Par 18 from 40ish feet. Drive hit little tree by the woods and bounced right. High toss over a small tree at corner gave me the 40ish footer which I placed at the foot of the basket for a reach-a-round bogey. 1st time I've done better than double bogey on #18!! Couldn't ask for better weather!!!!!!”

“1st Time Playing "The Quake"!!!!!!! Holy Crap is this a tough course!!!!! Shots need to be precise and long! Having a lot of luck helps too!! I had lots of fun but the same can't be said for my playing partner who said he'd never play there again! I'll try to change his mind because I've got try it again!!!!!!! Can't wait to play it when I actually have some game. Should make my home course seem like a walk in the park!!!!!”

“1st Round of the inaugural Fall Shawktacular, a day early, because I double booked Thursday's official start with my fantasy football draft. Played with Ben (68), Travis(62), Rich(53). Most of my drives had decent power but were off line. I did however hammer a few longish putts from awkward spots! Also had a nice 2nd shot from the left hand trees on #5. Still standing flick to within 10 feet. Almost no effort required because technique was great. Of course I missed the par putt!”

“Jake & Dan's 1st full round at Boulder Woods. Almost had my 1st birdie on # 7. Metaled the top of the basket from 40 feet or so. Walked the 1st hole of the Quaker's Challenge Course.
