When registering it says additional players pack as an option. So does this event come with a players pack?

Yes, all players will receive a player's pack. I do know this year will include a disc and ticket for raffle at minimum. I'm still working on more, but depends on how registrations go on how early I can order items. For your information, last year's player's pack was a RtL t-shirt, Martin City pint glass, and postcard with images from the course.
