If you did not give disc golf scene and email, you did not get this message with fancy links and stuff:
Hi folks! Welcome to the 13th Annual Jefferson City Open Disc Golf Tournament. This is the finalized pre-tournament information for the 2020 JCO, and takes precedence over all other flyers, posts, emails, etc.
The PDGA is very serious about Requirements and Best Practices for PDGA-Sanctioned Play
During COVID-19, and because this is a PDGA sanctioned B-tier, our club is doing our very best to implement these requirements and guidelines. Therefore, our event will be different than previous years in several ways:
Mandatory Pre-Registration. No exceptions. Check in by 9:15 am Saturday at the course you start on, there you will receive your player’s pack with the player’s handbook.
6 foot distancing rule at all times, avoid mass gatherings.
Pools A & B will be kept separate. No tournament central, no ring of fire, no player’s party, no awards ceremony, no raffle. Sadface!!!
Maximum of four human bodies per card. Juniors needing adult supervision will be allowed.
Payouts for the Pools will be staggered, please wear a mask in the Vendor Area. The first Pool to finish (we think pool A) will be allowed to collect payout approximately one hour after the last card is turned in. Payouts for the second Pool will be available once the first Pool payout is near completion.
Scoring should be done through the PDGA Digital Scorecard but it is not mandatory. See instructions under “Scoring” below. If your group did PDGA Digital scoring (see below) you do not need to turn in a card after the round. pdga.com/score access code is 1320
For Rounds 2 and 3, get your hole assignments from the PDGA Event page, and be on your hole at tee time. A Pool Director will be near hole one to answer questions.
Do not gather in the parking lot of the Holts Summit Course. Just don't.
There will not be a traditional Ace Pot, but the club will award a bounty equal to $3 per registered player. So, if 144 players are registered there will be a $432 ace pot. If more than one ace is hit in the three rounds, the bounty will be split evenly.
