The Covid-19 Mitigation Plan, as approved by the Nevada Co. Health Officer:
1. Event requirements.
A. Event directors, all staff and players must follow all government guidelines for the
event's location concerning conducting organized professional sporting events, including
following any requirements for physical distancing of a minimum of 6' upon arrival at the
event and at all times prior to, during, and after their rounds at the event and in all event
locations. When a 6' distance can not be held from anyone outside of their immediate
household, a face mask is mandatory.
B. Spectators or live audiences are prohibited.
C. Anyone who has Covid-19, is exhibiting common symptoms of Covid-19, is ill, or has been
in direct contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 within the last 14 days must not
participate and will be asked to leave the event immediately. (Note: if they know they have
been in contact, they should have been ordered to quarantine for 14 days from the time of
last exposure).
D. At the beginning of each day, players must be screened with a no-touch thermometer and a
symptom screen filled out and documented with name and contact information for every
person at the event. See symptoms list at:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html
2. Event Format.
A. Player meetings and awards will be conducted online. There will be no large gatherings at
any given time.
B. Communication with participants will be conducted through email, Facebook Live, or
YouTube.
C. Player groups of no more than 4 will tee off starting at 7:45 with gaps of 12 minutes from
prior tee times.
D. All tee times will be posted online at the PDGA Tournament Page for viewing. Check in no
earlier than 10 minutes prior to your designated tee time.
E. Event scoring and player tee times will be handled electronically through PDGA Tournament
Manager and PDGA Digital Scorecard.
3. Staff and Participant Practices.
A. All players should carry their own hand sanitizer.
B. Participants will not touch discs, bags, carts or any other property belonging to another
participant.
C. Participants should bring and control their own food for the entire day. Players should carry
as much water on the round as they can reasonably manage.
D. When using a digital scorecard, players in a group may agree on a single person to keep
score electronically or the digital scorecard should be virtually handed off to another player
when it is their turn so they can use their own device whenever possible. Mobile devices
must not be shared among players.
4. Equipment Practices.
A. Players should uniquely mark their own discs on both the top and bottom thereby helping to
identify the owner of the disc without the need for someone to touch it to flip it over.
B. Players should clear their disc from the target before another player putts out. A player
should not putt into a target that already has a disc in it.
C. Players should carefully remove their disc from a target and avoid toughing any surface of
the target while doing so.
D. Once a disc has contacted a target, players should sanitize their disc prior to subsequent
use or placing it into their bag.
Thanks for putting in the extra work!
2nd time asking this question,.. Can we have a caddie?
Thanks Craig, you da man. Can’t wait
Sorry Birk, but due to no more than four per group, no caddies will be allowed. I really don't like this rule.
