On behalf of the LoCo Disc Golf Club, I want to thank you for joining us tomorrow at Freedom Center to celebrate National Disc Golf Day at Clark’s Run. In addition to competing in this one-day flex-start PDGA C-tier event, you are also entered in the 2020 National Disc Golf Day Virtual Tournament. Purely for bragging rights, your PDGA round rating will be stacked up against every other player competing in your division across the United States this weekend.
Below is important information and notes that you are individually responsible for reading and understanding. Please read through it in its entirety and contact me if you have any questions at all.
- If you are not feeling well, or in a high-risk category as noted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you should not participate.
- Maintain a ten-foot separation between yourself and other players at all times.
- Do not not touch discs, bags, carts, or any other property belonging to another player.
- Bring and control your own food for the entire day and carry as much water as you need for the round.
- If you encounter a back-up during the round, see points 2-4 above.
As much as we’d all love to hang out and socialize, when you are through with your round please vacate the area to make room for other players as soon as possible. Vanish Farmwoods Brewery is right around the corner, open for business, and is a great place to kick back with a tall cold one, grab a bite, and listen to live music.
**PARKING & FACILITIES**
Thank you in advance for your cooperation with parking. First, please carpool whenever possible. If you want to warm up on the practice course and arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to your tee-time you MUST use the parking lot at the North entrance. If you want to park in the lot near hole 1 at the south entrance, do not arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to your tee-time. Check out the Freedom Center overview map under Pictures for a course map and parking lot and bathroom locations.
Alcohol, smoking, and vaping are strictly prohibited on Freedom Center property.
Please, do not litter. Pack it in, pack it out. If you see trash, be awesome and pick it up.
**TEE-TIMES, SCORING & RESULTS**
Check your tee-times at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46652 and be check-in with me 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start. If you are not paired with at least 2 other players I will be contacting you individually to make adjustments. Thanks for being flexible.
We will be using the PDGA Digital Scorecard at https://www.pdga.com/score for this event. Check your email for the access code.
If you are unfamiliar with the digital scorecard, please review the simple instructions at https://www.pdga.com/score/help. There is also comprehensive help available within the app and contact information if you need to get a hold of me during the round.
Within the digital scorecard you can find the course notes below and other important messages by tapping on the bell icon in the upper right hand corner. Individual hole distances and hole specific notes are available on every hole scoring screen where applicable.
Players in a group may agree on a single player to keep score or you can virtually hand off scoring duties to another player when it is their turn so they can use their own device. Mobile devices should not be passed back and forth between players.
If this is your first PDGA event, congratulations! Please familiarize yourself with the Official Rules of Disc Golf and Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events at https://www.pdga.com/rules.
