My name is Mike Kessinger. I live in Clearwater Florida. I am part of a group of 6 friends who are all retired (mostly retired teachers) who love disc golf. We are between the ages of 60 and 68. We are not very good but we sure love to play. Our best player has a PDGA rating of only 823, so you see we aren't stars. Most of our guys aren't even PDGA members and have never played in a tournament. Our longest driver throws about 250 and most of us are around 200 or less.
One of our group owns a nice cabin in Mineral Bluff and we make a trip there twice a year to play the north Georgia, N.C. courses. We are coming up on March 23rd and staying till the 28th and thought it would be fun to create a North Georgia vs Florida challenge. We meet up at Meeks with 6 of your guys (please be in our lack of talent range) and play a 18 hole match just for bragging rights.
I'm thinking total score for both teams would make the winner.
If you know 6 guys who would love to do this, please pass this info on to them and have them get In touch with me. If we all have fun, we could make it a yearly thing and even hold an event here in Clearwater if they want to come down. Winter is a wonderful disc golf time here.
