Hello, my friend and I will be in the Dexter/Ann Arbor area on Thursday morning for one day. I would like to know what course we should play in the morning - Hudson Mills or Independence Lake? KIM we are intermediate players, so courses that are mostly difficult shots through the woods are not our favorite. Thanks so much!

IMO, neither are championship level courses, so you should be fine from either set of pads as intermediate players. The cost to enter either park is similar, though HM will charge you an additional 3 bucks for pay to play. There are 48 holes at HM and 36 at Indy. HM is a touch easier to get to and have a few more ammenities. I honestly don't think you can go wrong either way, both are terrific plays.
Thanks so much. If there are other opinions or area courses we should consider, I'd love to hear. Victory Park looks awesome, but too much water hazard for our skill level.
Not sure where you are from or how long you are in the area. Kensington and Stony Creek are both MetroParks, like HM. They both offer 36 holes with dual tee pads and tons of great park amenities. The Blue course at Kensington is a nice run for intermediate players and nearly all of Stony is more wide open type golf. Lakeshore is about as open as you can get around here. We are having our league out at HM on Thursday evening at 5:30, as well. You can join the league for some swag or you are more than welcome to just play along. Might be a good chance to meet some area players and have a guide for the course. It is a beginner/ intermediate friendly league, for sure. https://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/2019_A3Disc_TWIZBEE_Singles_Travel_League Whatever you do, have a good time and keep an eye out for poison ivy
Thanks!!!
Indy is 36 holes and can be played as two rounds of just 24. It beautiful and fun and there are trees holes, but that's just a great opportunity to work on your roller shot or use your approach discs. Metro parks are.cool and all three mentioned are fun, but Indy has my
AND Rolling Hills is Indys sister park and you can get into both parks with the same 1 day pass!!!
